Manufactured by Gateron, the Keyfirst Cream switch is both colorful and fun to press. With 4 millimeters of total travel and an operating force of 62 gf, it’s a bit on the bulkier side—but its self-lubricating stems make each keystroke a frictionless experience Read More
JaybibWho looks at their switches? There's these things called Hi-profile cases, and a bigger thing called keycaps... Plus the housing isn't clear so they aren't best for RGB. TLDR: Buy Gat Yellows if on a budget.
DanzoI think broken-in and getting microparticles of the original material acting as a dry lubricant is different.
Edit: E.g. Brass, carbon bearings, and talcum rocks
PSA: You can find these EXACT same switches on AliExpress by KPrepublic Store for about the same price, free shipping, and it arrives about a month earlier. These are also up on Amazon right now and it's Prime Day!

Stating the obvious, but almost all MX-style switches already use POM for the sliders, regardless of the housing material. Unless the stem/slider here is some sort of proprietary plastic blend, or Gateron suddenly started offering POM housings, it'll be no more "self-lubricating" than any other linear.
