I have around 10 pairs of Knockaround sunglasses. A few of each frame style, a few limited editions, and some customs. I have a slightly larger head (wide) and I find that the Fort Knocks frame really fits well. The look, feel, and build quality is significantly better than the other frames. I think that Knockaround has mastered the art of affordable yet stylish sunglasses. They aren't indestructible (they'll probably break if you sit on them or if they're at the bottom of a book bag) but for $20-$30 I'm not being super careful about damaging them. I wear them in the ocean, playing sports, etc... I know that if I break or lose them, they're cheap enough to replace. I picked up my first pair of Knocks in 2010, and have been rocking them ever since. Happy to answer any questions anyone might have.

With the Fort Knocks the arms are "spring-loaded" and I don't feel any pain behind the ears. The arms are also pretty wide, so that cuts down on anything like that. I don't think I've ever had issues with sliding off the nose. Hope that helps!

crazybananaI don't think so. I've bought a few pairs... Nothing all that special about them or the polarization. Good universal shape/size, they are fine for shades you don't mind losing or breaking...guess knockaround is a good name for them. Wouldn't waste your money getting RX lenses for these even if you can/could?
The best shades I have owned are Maui Jims, which I think have the best lenses and polarization, and their customer service and warranty are great too. Big price difference though - you can get Maui Jims RX'd (both of my parents have them, swear by them as well). Worth the investment, IMHO. I have really sensitive eyes and have searched and bought tons of polarized sunglasses from the major names. Maui Jim still comes out on top for me

Are these version 1.0 or version 2.0?

Tomas, thanks for the clarification! Earlier versions of Fort Knocks been supposedly cheaper built and there were some complaints from users, so it's good to know these are the latest.

Are the lenses on the yellow and blue reflective? Or just a tint? Meaning a mirror finish that is highly reflective.

Darn. I would buy if the tortoise shell was offered in a non-mirror lense option. I find mirror lenses to be really tacky for everyday wear.

SynnysterThose are for the 1.0 version of the Fort Knocks, that was discontinued a while back. The 2.0 version we're selling on this event are much better quality and finish.

SynnysterI have 1.0's and 2.0's and I don't even touch my 1.0's anymore. Definitely not worth saving the few bucks.
I’ve got my glasses yesterday and immediately found out that it was defective (please see images) so I contacted massdrop asap and still havent heard back from them. I am little disappointed, not only on the item but also with massdrop and their lack of customer service. I have been using massdrop for few years, I was curious to see how much business I gave them so I count all my transaction, seems like I got into 39 drops (some drops I purchased multiple items) and spend $3962.91 in total. I guess my money doesnt worth their time to handle one issue after 39 purchases. Do I recommend these sunglasses? I guess if it is not defective YES , but I highly warn you about massdrops customercare. Be aware that if there is a problem you dont get any help, which means this would be my last time buying from them!!

I'm Asian and don't much of a bridge to my nose, so I often have trouble finding glasses that won't slide down my nose. could anyone describe their experience with the fit around the nose?

funsizedDepending on how loose to fit is on the bridge, you might have luck with a product called NerdWax
