A great travel companion for those who prefer full-size, over-ear headphones, the Koss BT539i boasts Bluetooth 4.0 functionality and a design that folds flat for easy storage. On one of the D-shaped ear cups, you’ll find the built-in microphone and onboard controls. Navigate quickly through songs, play or pause music, change the volume level, and answer incoming calls with the press of a button. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives you up to 12 hours of playback or call time at moderate levels (or 40 hours of standby time) on a single charge. If the battery runs low, switch to wired operation using the included 3.5-millimeter cable.

Major HiFi reviewer Steven Newcastle says, "The sound of the Koss BT539iw is quite impressive considering this is on the low end of Bluetooth headphones for this price range (under $100). I was able to drive the volume up without significant distortion. The bass frequencies were good, even better than expected."
If we were to write a history of audio companies in the US, Koss would land on the first page. Not only did the Milwaukee, Wisconsin–based company make the world’s first stereo headphone, the SP/3, in 1958, it’s also responsible for the first self-energizing electrostatic headphone, the first dynamic headphone to deliver all 10 audible octaves, and a standard-setting infrared wireless headphone. Over the years, Koss headphones have made it onto Air Force One, into the Smithsonian, and onto the heads of such music icons as Neil Diamond, Tony Bennett, and Pete Fountain. Founder John C. Koss was inducted into the Audio Hall of Fame in 1979 and the Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame in 2000.
