is this a good price? i see bullshit where people list something for 200, when its worth 50, and then discount it to "50" to make it look like a good deal. wanna make sure this isnt in the same vibe as that before i buy it.

VOIDOI got these a few years back on ebay for about this. They are pretty rare, but not many places sell them anything close to MSRP anymore. IF you want these, this is a good deal given the rarity outside of Koss direct.

VOIDOThat is certainly the right spirit for these. . . I'm not a huge fan of the sound to be honest but they are bizarre and fun bit of kit. They have VERY impressive bass for an earbud, but the mids are too widely recessed for my taste for serious listening. It's very hard to argue with Koss 60 ohm on ear models (Porta Pro etc) at this price/performance point, particularly given that an earbud is similarly non-isolated. Practical things like sound and fit aside (lol), these are some of my favorite earphones in my collection - just for oddity sake really. They are one of a kind for sure, I'd never part with them.

VOIDOI looked them up on amazon and they are going for a little over $200 from a third party seller, this seems to be a good deal.

GiantHeadphoneSquidThe mid comment is interesting as there are reviews saying the opposite. I just got mine and expected the forward mids. However, with playing around with the fit, they are not quite Sennheiser neutral but more so than my AT iM50 In ears.

JoeTheBassPlayerRecessed is perhaps not the right word. . . I like the way you put it in your nice impressions (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/koss-kde-250-ear-clips/talk/2351998): 'There is some disconnect between the bass and the rest of the range. ' Logically, between the bass and the rest are the mids, but I'll agree a recession implies a bandwidth that is not accurate. There's a gap or maybe even just a cliff drop transition from the 20 mm bass slam to the hf element. . . These are very subjective to fit, not just insert depth, but also the angle of tilt of the element were designed to allow you to adjust the sound (kind of like an on ear AKG1000). This makes comparing experiences difficult, but for me I definitely hear something lacking where the bass element tapers off and before the mid/hf element kicks into full gear. I think from the comment above we don't entirely disagree on this. . .

GiantHeadphoneSquidYes! Fit is almost everything. I also find myself wondering if what I am hearing is the earphone or some kind of issue with the recording. They are not quite Sennheiser neutral but they are more revealing. For me, they are keepers. I do wish they had detachable cables as well as more thought out ear hooks - fit system.
