Koss Pro4S Headphones

Designed for professional musicians who need reference sound, the Koss Pro4S headphones deliver a flat, unbiased response. They feature the all-new SLX40 element inside an aluminum assembly that’s at once durable, comfortable, and lightweight. First used in the ergonomically designed Pro4AAA, these D-profile cups mimic the ear’s shape to create an excellent seal and a natural fit. The memory foam pads are wrapped in soft protein leather, while the metal headband is cushioned with foam and breathable mesh. Plus, wherever you go, these cans are ready to come along. The 4.5-foot-long cable detaches from the cups and the headphones fold flat to nest in the included carrying case. Finally, the cable has dual-choice entry—and once it’s attached, the opposite side becomes an output, allowing pass-through listening or daisy chaining for extended monitoring. If we were to write a history of audio companies in the US, Koss would land on the first page. Not only did the Milwaukee, Wisconsin–based company make the world’s first stereo headphone, the SP/3, in 1958, it’s also responsible for the first self-energizing electrostatic headphone, the first dynamic headphone to deliver all 10 audible octaves, a standard-setting infrared wireless headphone, and a series of memorable, zeitgeisty ads to go along with them. Koss was inducted into the Audio Hall of Fame in 1979 and the Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame in 2000.
