It is interesting Headphone because it goes very low 10Hz and very high 25kHz. As we get older it is hard to hear past 17 or 18kHz and forget about 20kHz. Its SPL is sufficient at 99 dB, I don't like to listen past 85dB. It looks very nice and the case is a plus. My only complaint is the earcup could be a little bigger. I have big ears!

They are over-Kossed
We like Koss for their thick greasy sound. I owned many of them and they all have that signature. Pro4S to my mind is overkill: too bright and too bloated bass. I choose DJ100.

Amazing headphones! For sure, there are much better cans out there, but for 89$ (price on Massdrop), it is difficult to find something that is a better allrounder. Nice bass, sufficiently deep and powerful (although not extremely precise), good high spectrum and especially very neutral in the voice range. The sound stage is rather flat, compared with other headphones, especially open-type ones, but still enjoyable enough. Good thing also that they are extremely easy to drive, an iPhone is perfectly fine, no need for more advanced equipment like a dedicated headphone amp etc. Only downside that I could find (a rather big one, I have to say, but nevertheless I left 5 stars for the musical qualities at that very competitive price...) is the wear comfort - nice at the beginning, but after 20-30min my head starts to hurt. Resuming, if you don't want to spend 150$ or more for a good sounding allrounder headphone, this is the one to go to.

I would categorize these as headphones for "general listening, on the neutral side". On one hand, the frequency coverage is a step above entry-level, there's good separation, comfort is good for small to medium ears, the isolation is good and there's a replaceable cable. On the other, everything typical for headphones under $150: Bass doesn't extend all the way down, highs are rather thin and musicality/ambience is nowhere to be found. I'd recommend these for people who like the sound of an original recording, need isolation, are on a budget and don't want to buy additional equipment (such as an amplifier). Other than that, in a world where a Hifiman HE400i can be had for $170 (much more detailed in comparison), and a Sennheiser HD650 for $200 (much more musical in comparison), you're much better off saving up and making the investment.

Great sounding earphones. Flat yet enjoyable. Can make music for hours without fatigue. The one problem (it is a huge problem): the cord connection. If I turn my head at all, the connection shorts & i hear a quiet out-of-phase horrible-sounding version of what I'm listening to. Tried to use a different cord with it; unfortunately it only fits the Koss one that came with it. Very disappointed in the cord build. The headphone itself is marvelous.

daybeetWell I was going to order, but if you can only use the cord/cable that comes with it this gives me pause.

Jazz1You can use other cords, but you have to find one that will clear the housing. It's a standard 3.5mm, but clearance to the driver housing is tight. I have some Anker ones that don't fit, but the Amazon Basics cable I have works fine.

The Koss Pro4S has quite balanced sound from lows to highs. Little emphasize in bass (controlled with good extension) and highs. It has a warm, detailed sound. Narrow soundstage which maybe is good for monitoring, but would like it wider for just music listening. Like a lot build quality, (passive) noise isolation and how Koss treat their customers.
