Delivering the great value KZ has built its name on, the AS06 IEMs feature three balanced-armature drivers per ear: one for low frequencies, another for mid frequencies, and the last for mid to high frequencies. Rarely seen in earphones of this price, this driver configuration results in rich details and pure, powerful bass Read More
just got mine, and well dam like seriously in overall sound quality for the price I've never heard anything sound better. i was tempted to get the nuforce edc's but the reviews for them where 50/50 and a bit of build quality issues, where as these seems to be built like a tank and sound really good, slight v shape but still quite warm, smooth highs, i'd say they sound similar in tonality to dt880s but less spiky treble.
Here's my review for the KZ AS06.

In short:
I think it's actually quite good and the best KZ I've heard (the other prominent ones are the AS10s and BA10s).
It provides a warmer, less bright alternative to the T2s but I still think the T2s are better overall.
For $35, it's definitely worth it. I don't think you could "go wrong" with buying these.
And yes, it is better than the AS10s as mentioned above. The AS10s have severe bass bloom while the AS06 is a lot more refined and balanced sounding.
elad_eI think the KZ AS06s are better than the CCA C10s. The C10s are already pretty good, but they're very generic sounding V-shape. AS06 is more refined and neutral.
Not that I'm complaining or anything, but my shipment just arrived today and upon opening the product, I noticed that I was shipped the KZ AS10s instead of the AS06s! I can't speak for the 06s but the 10s are really awesome! The color was still correct though.
Are these IEMs better (resolves more detail, less piercing/peaky, flatter response, etc.) than the TFZ Galaxy T2? Just ordered a pair of T2's here, but I'm thinking of getting these as well if these are actually better than the T2's.
KZ is surprisingly good for the price. I discovered them via /r/headphones and the whole chi-fi scene when i was looking for throwaway iems I own a pair of KZ zst's and while I can not speak on the behalf of these iems I can tell you somethings to expect from the brand:
DO NOT USE THOSE EAR TIPS, they are fucking horrible, you're better off wearing it raw and hard. Usable eartips are easy to find on Ebay
The cable might be shit too
The connectors on the monitors themselves are loosey goosey, you might loose them in their pants or give it a hard tug.
As always, it will be cheaper to get via your typical chinese ecommerce sites (Alibaba, Gearbest, etc.) but you might get faster shipping via massdrop (shocker) and better customer support.
sokolskeDisagree on the KZ Starline tips. They're some of my favorites right behind Sony Hybrids. Spinfits, Spiral Dots, and both types of Comply just don't work in my ear.
