What tips are you guys finding that fit the KZ’s. I just bought the BA10’s and they sound incredible but its very difficult to get a good seal. First IEM’S I ever had a difficult time with. Its frustrating because the sound after maybe 10-15 hrs of burn in/play insounds smooth, detailed and goes as low or high as called for but the fit at least for me is extremely difficult to get right. Somebody please let me know what tips work for you folks. KZ is a legit player now and making the high end iem manufacturers look shady. These would be over a grand a few years back, not just under a 100 dollars like today.

ecleinHow good are these? I've been eying the FH5 by FiiO and is much much more expensive and would hate to overpay for something when it's not needed. Also looking at the Pinnacle P1 or the mass drop version.

Ajs308These are incredible!! My go to iems, ousted my 64 audio u4se.....The BA10's are big and sometimes hard to get fit but when you do its heaven. Super detailed but all the awesome low end is there when needed. Over the course of two days listening and letting them play in the changes were not subtle. Any sibilance that was there isnt now. They open up and sound incredible to me.

Ajs308I bought the Fiio FH5 and I will most likely be buying these as well. I will give you an update if/when it ships.

Ajs308Fiio FH5 trumps anything KZ currently makes. There's so little depth and clarity compared to the FH5 it's almost like a night and day difference. People say it's amplifier dependant but using one doesn't magically fix their issues. They excel at warmer/acoustic sound and sound so distorted with synth/edm it's nearly impossible to enjoy. I think it's because the FH5's have excellent sub-bass and KZ just cannot compete in comparison. If you want something cheaper and similar sound go for the BGVP line of iems. KZ - Prefers warm sound, linear is meh, from my own listening. People say there's good bass but I don't hear it in either of their flagships. Surprisingly good imaging. Inexpensive. BGVP DMG - Apparently works well with linear/synth sound (single instrument clarity), soundstage feels small which impacts music with many instruments. Comparatively cheaper. BGVP DM6 - Apparently can do everything the DMG can do and competes with the FH5 but for a cheaper price. People are hailing these iems as a new go-to for price/performance. More neutral but slight V-shaped sound. Cheaper than FH5 but still relatively expensive. Fiio FH5 - Superb iem that works well with any genre. Powerful sub-bass that tickles my eardrums with edm but fills my ears with warmth/depth with acoustic music. W-shaped sound, 'fun' to listen to. Premium quality cable. Shell is a work of art. Most expensive.

EcchiWhaleIn the time between our last conversation - I ended up getting the BGVP DM6 and the FH5 - extremely satisfied with them. I can agree with a lot of the review you gave for the DM6 vs FH5 - I have to say that the imaging of the DM6 is superior to the FH5, but the subbass on the FH5 is better. This makes the DM6 better for rock, classical, anything with natural instruments. The FH5 is hands down a winner for EDM / anything with synthetic instruments and deep bass / fun listening and is better all around as you said.

Ajs308If I'm being honest the DM6 was just a guess. I've never tried them, so thanks for the input. I'll end up getting a pair when it drops again and I can spare the cash.

ShinraorgLook, my answer is yes and no. Do you like subbass/listen to EDM? Want something indestructible? Buy these. The main selling point of these in the current year is that they give you bass that has more depth than some of my headphones, which sacrifices clarity and significantly dulls out upper mids. Otherwise? Thieaudio/Fearless/Moondrop are the chifi brands to go to, amongst other honourable mentions. It's hard to justify the price vs. performance when there are just so many better options that do so many other things, for less money.

EcchiWhaleThank You Ecchi!, I appreciate your imput. Just ordered, I do like EDM and Electronic Music specially while working long hours on the computer, it keeps me focused. Seems like im going to have a handfull of IEM's for any occasion hahaha, all that started this was one night when i was drinking and decided to order some HD650's Lol.

ShinraorgYou'll be satisfied with them for a long time. They benefit from a litz wire cable upgrade and removing the wire mesh guard from the nozzle. Both sort of improve the muddiness of the mids and round out some sparkly treble. If you haven't already buy the BTR5 that Fiio makes, no exceptions. The balanced output makes everything sound like magic.

ShinraorgShinraorg, I also have a pair of KZ ZS10 Pros, and wanted to upgrade to a FH5. I listen to a very broad variety of music. Anything from EDM to Classical. I would appreciate any input on whether or not it's worth it :D

Ringing in PC38X's

I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?

Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Recommendation for my next headphone set? I have Koss 95x

Hey all, What would you recommend I get next and why? I have Koss ESP-95x electrostatic massdrop headphones. These are my first and only audiophile set. I love them. I think my only real requirements is $500 or less for the headphones and that they have a little more low end. I don’t need thump but these are really light on lows…but the experience is still awesome. Also any recommendations on an amp? I only have my electrostatic thingy. I am using the Topping D50 DAC. thx!!

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?

I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones.
