The process of creating handmade knives is a long one, and it’s what sets them apart from the crowd. Made by a single craftsman in the historic Aubrac region of France, these Laguiole cheese knives carry a legacy of tradition that dates back to 1829. Each knife’s metal spine bears the marking of the person who made it, allowing its lineage to be traced. The blades are made of Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel—which boasts excellent edge retention, resistance to corrosion, and strength—and polished to a mirror finish. The handles use buffalo horn, solid horn, or bone, and due to the nature of these materials, their appearance may vary from knife to knife. A great addition to your next cocktail party, this set also makes a lovely gift.
Note: At checkout, choose buffalo horn, solid horn, or bone (+ $20). Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we can only ship these knives to select countries.
