I own a Violectric HPA V100 which is give or take the same thing as a Lake People G109. Worth every penny imo. If a headphone sounds bad out of a G109, odds are you don't like the headphone or DAC in your chain (again, imo). Synergy can play a factor, but if you're buying components to resolve shortcomings of your headphone... I would advise buying a different headphone.
I paid full MSRP for my V100; I would buy it again too. I can't comment on the H10 or V200 as I've not auditioned or owned either. I don't feel the need to... if you don't have a ton of different headphones with varying impedance the gain switches location shouldn't be a big deal.
I'd also like to mention that Violectric USA (USA distributor) is having a sale at the moment as well for the same product. Their customer service is excellent and if you have any questions about the product shoot them an email (even if you plan on ordering one through massdrop).
d111Only one problem. This B-stock amp does not ship to USA. You have to order the regular one
which comes out to about $411 USD delivered. So you might save around $38.
