OMG! It looks like someone is Shenzhen has copied Leandri's famous Cal 101.2 movement and is selling them on eBay for thirty-six bucks, with free shipping ;- )
Shocking, no?
No shortage of the same watches being offered on Chrono24 and eBay for $840 and evidently all by the same seller.
Meaning, one assumes, there must be at least one human being walking around on the planet with one of them, and who actually paid the $840 ask.
Proving once again, the world can be a very cruel place to live (or shop for watches).
RayFThanks for researching. All the same seller, that's the most interesting part about that. Put up a bunch of listings to legitimize the Drop? I dunno but this one stinks to me
I see lots of folks pointing out how big this watch is, I’d like to point out how unattractive it is!
Making it 2 or 3mm smaller wouldn’t help that issue.
I think Drop should be screening these a little better, we deserve better as a loyal community, than to have questionable products hawked at us like this
I see everyone looking up Unitas 6498 up on ebay to get an estimate on the price. Here is some context: You can get Chinese made 6498's for 30 bux with geneva stripes on the back plate, but the finish isn't as "fine" as the one shown here (you can buy an undecorated movement and add stripes yourself as well, obviously). Whereas you can also get a "SWISS-MADE" 6498 for about ~300 USD with geneva stripes on the back. For reference there is an american company Weiss watches which used to sell "american made" watches with swiss made 6498's for 800 USD a couple of years ago(think they have switched to an actual in-house cal. since), If the gentleman above is following the Weiss route and is using an actual swiss made 6498's then the price is pretty competitive, but the person needs to provide more info on the movement used, if not It gives more ground to question the legitimacy of this product.

I have a couple of watches at 44, and I don't use them because of how big they are. One is a Makara Sea Turtle II, the other is the Panzers Aquamarine. I just can't imagine anyone wearing such a huge watch. By the way, if anyone is interested in the above two watches let me know.
Not on the list of Swiss watchmakers, not on a long list on wikipedia of Italian watchmakers, and the poor English on their website, and the copyright date of 2019, come on Drop we deserve better than this. Do your due diligence. Give the 12 people who bought into this their money back
From the pictures, everything to this watch looks a little cheap. Other than the movement, of which no indication is given, so it could be everything and anything. This being said, again looking at the finishing, used fonts, quality of the printing, logo design and application, lack of sapphire crystal versus a much cheaper "saphhire treated mineral" etc... I have some doubts on the "swiss made" label of this timepiece, as well as the mentioned AD of 2100, that takes one to Longines level....
Edit: about the brand's "heritage", this is what their website says: "Although it was known as an independent brand only during recent years, Leandri is actually deeply rooted in the watches world, dating back to the 60’s."
In horology dialect, this generally means the following "Leandri was a small boutique brand that existed in the 60s, and died with the quartz crisis. A few years back, an investor bought the licence to the name, and added "Laboratorio" to it to make it sound more modern, and now releases watches that have nothing in common with the initial Leandris"
