When your recording and mixing needs get really ambitious, you can now harness all the capabilities of a 24-bit recording studio in your own home. Featuring 8 different inputs and 4 channels, the Lexicon Omega Desktop Recording Studio allows you to record each member of a 4-piece ensemble on separate tracks, then mix the recording to your heart’s desire.
With the 8-input, 4-bus, 2-output USB I/O mixer and complete metering and monitoring functions, you can record up to 4 tracks at once, and quickly switch between channels on the front-mounted mixing dials. The Omega also features S/PDIF in and out, a feature usually found on far more expensive system so your mixes will always sound like it was professionally mixed in an expensive studio.
In addition to the mixer, the Omega includes Cubase LE 5 audio and MIDI recording software, and Pantheon VST Reverb plug-in, so you can meet all your professional studio needs in a compact, cost-effective package. Unlike its smaller siblings, the Omega is not powered by USB, so although it can’t run off your laptop alone, the compact size and low weight make it a great mobile studio or a compact fixture at your desk.
