msdpjlGoogle it, I personally don’t like MQA, to me it’s a gimmick to make you buy something new! Do your research and most technicians & engineers one like the format!😎
Marty123Thanks Marty123, i am using Tidal and MQA is significantly better than it's Hi_Fi format even my Questyle DAC/AMP comb which does not support MQA decoding (MQA passthrough)
msdpjlI won’t buy anything at this price point that does not support MQA. A lot of my listening is via TIDAL these days. I’m not a fan of MQA as a concept - but it does sound better than non-MQA tracks on TIDAL.
DiMoraI think it's still up to debate, I've read several reviewers that think the same way I do, and wasn't Neil Young's Pono supposed to revolutionize the way we listen to music? Paul McGowan of PS audio has also said he doesn't care for it much but he puts it in his equipment because people ask for it. My personal opinion is a placebo effect of psycho acoustics, but if you're happy, that's all that matters. For me I use the miniplayer with insanely good results! https://www.thememoryplayer.net
Marty123Have you listened to MQA? I have three different MQA capable DACs. As you state, only your ears can help drive you to a decision. I like the way it sounds with TIDAL.
