Every now and again, a Chinese company makes a pair of IEMs that punch way above their price point. Macaw's a relative newcomer to the industry, but their tunable GT100s is set to make waves in the industry as one of the best values under $100 Read More
The spec only lists up to 16khz? That's 4khz lower than the average human's range of hearing (Mine included) won't that detract from the experience? I feel like I would seriously be missing out in the treble department...
KaminKevCrewAre you older than 25?
Not asking to judge you as a person; asking because after that point, you'll probably not have ready access to those frequencies anyway.
You are correct. However, since I was able to get the Accutones very easily, I thought it to be better for me to get for the purpose of reviewing. I have yet to come across a truly comprehensive Gemini HD review.
I wonder how long these will last. I wear in-ear headphones to the gym quite a lot, and they get snagged from getting caught on stuff and eventually wear out. I am wondering the durability of these headphones...if they will last much longer than typical in-ear buds. Since the cable is not replaceable it's a concern.
LOL, now I'm wondering how heavy these things really are! I see people using the big bulky beats over the ear headphones in the gym and there's no way I'd wear something like that while exercising!
I have my order and the Macaw GT100S is an outstanding IEM. Well designed, solid construction, nice accessories, and terrific sound. A bit on the heavy side but manageable. And what the heck is it with that packaging, anyway? It's like a plastic Fort Knox! Altogether, this was one of my favorite drops. Highly recommended.
The jack sometimes causes problem...you can't insert the whole thing if you're using it on your phone sometimes. I remember trying my aunts old logitech and if you inserted the whole jack the sound only came from one side unless you were holding down the answer(?) button. There wasn't any problems when paired with her iPod touch though.
T he quality of them is nowhere near their price tag, people compare them to 350$ IEMs with replaceable filters and still the ones on these are better quality

hamboneAs noted above, the estimated ship date is on the product Description page. Sometimes it can be 20+ days after the drop date (this particular drop has an estimate of August 19, so more than 20 days after the drop has ended). The Discussion page is updated with information on the timing of the shipment from the vendor to Massdrop and when Massdrop expects, generally, to ship goods to the drop participants. After Massdrop receives the good and ships it out to you, there will be tracking information available on the "Transactions" page. All the goods for the drops I have joined have been UPS, for larger/heavier item, or USPS for smaller/lighter items. Both have tracking information. Hope this helps.
YakovThese look interesting but I just can't do IEM's very often & already have Dunu's & Thinksound's plus the usual assortment of junk. I'd be interested in what you think of these once you get them.
Re: 'lots of your comments' - talk all you want! Drops with few comments are boring!!
audiotop$49.90 plus free shipping, ouchie ouchie ouchie MassDrop burned. Sadly I don't use these IEM's as much as I thought I would more than likely because it doesn't work with my Windows Phone. RIP GT100's.
