I can't even use these keys due to my keyboard spacing. Customer support is aware of it, I was not. They're refusing to refund me, fighting my card charge dispute case, etc. They know these keys won't fit certain keyboards including my K70, but no mention was made about fitment. That seems pretty shady to me.
Oh my god I think I was reading that one yesterday! hahaha.
I've attached a picture. There was even a post in the discussions on these caps (I assume around the time the guy bought his caps) of someone asking about them fitting on a Corsair.... smh
I would highly recommend a clear coat for any keycaps that are hydro-dipped and being used for gaming. Anything other than Dye-Sublimated or double-shot will wear out. Perhaps just a simply spray-can clear coat or something . I made some of my own custom keycaps for the upcoming (whenever that is) MiTo GMK Laser set, painted with acrylic paint and sprayed down with aerosol acrylic clear coat (probably like, 3 coats) and that lasted for a few weeks before I started feeling like it was wearing through (before wearing the paint off) - I would put quite a few coats on just to make sure it'll last for a while (maybe 5 or more). Please kindly note though, I am not an expert at this stuff and I am not sure if it will mess w/ the shine-through of the caps. :)
KM1337I appreciate the in depth response! Probably just best to pass and wait it out for (hopefully) a set that is similar, but happens to be dye-sublimated or doubleshot. I saw the GalaxC set that was on here recently, but I wasn't a huge fan of the colors, since Iam looking for one with more pink/black than blue (picky , I know).
Thanks again for your help!
Not really happy with these keycaps, for the price I expected a lot more. It seems as though I got a random amalgomation of both "Starboy" and "Stargirl" even though I ordered the "Stargirl" variant.
The right hand side looks great, minus the modifier keys. If a picture of how it looks on my keyboard was shown to me, I probably wouldn't of ordered. It's too dark and as @damnheadphones also posted, the graphic doesn't line up at all.
If it was advertised as randomly generated graphics, I'd have no problem, but the fact that it gives you two designs to choose from and the delivered product doesn't look anything like the image is quite disappointing.
Committing to this buy.
I've looked around, but wanted to check with MK community, Razer Ornata Chroma uses prorietary 'Razer Green' switches; From what I found, these are Cherry clones, so this set should fit.
Can someone give me a nod yea or nay?
GirDropsThe Ornata uses special Mem-chanical switches, not Razer Greens. From what I've read there is no MX-Style Stem, so you won't be able to swap keycaps.
Heads up, don't expect the graphic to line up as good as the advertised picture, this is what I got. Im just a bit dissappointed that's all.
Edit: Massdrop was kind enough to give me a refund. Ill probably go in on the drop again to see if my luck is better. I do like these keys.
