Product Description
Somewhere between a gentleman’s folder and a tactical knife, the Maserin Trigger sports an unconventional look. The handle is made up of two parts: a stainless steel frame surrounded by your choice of bocote, cocobolo, or ebony wood scales that cover about two thirds of the surface Read More

oh man, would have been an immediate purchase if it were assisted-opening. What a beautiful knife!

An excellent suggestion--in fact, a blackwash leek is my EDC :)

revampMDHA, great minds :-) I made a "Franken-Leek" with g10 handles and a Damascus blade. My Nephew carries it daily. Great little knives.

That pocket clip doesn't look like it matches the knife.

JSG1Yep. Very unfortunate clip- ugly & misplaced. On the positive, it convinced me to keep my money in my wallet.

DjTotem_MassdropCame here to say this. It looks cool, but I wouldn't pay this price for such a pedestrian steel. Maybe I'm spoiled by all the S35VN knives in this price range, but I think having a good steel really is important.

Not necessarily. You ever try Entrek knives? It is possible to get a lot out of 440C. And it’s possible to mess up a ‘supersteel’.

I have had one of these in the olive wood for years. Typical of Italian knives by Maserin it has a unique elegant style and beauty. The steel seems impervious to scratches and rust The blade is a touch over 3” in length. The clip is titanium and darker than in the picture. Because it has a stainless steel frame it is heavier than most knives of a total of 7.5” in length. I therefor don’t hand it on a pocket and simply carry it my pant or suit coat pocket. It is acceptable in most countries because it must be opened by a thumb nick and require two hands. The release lever is a more than 100 year old devise originating in Sicily. It is a delightful piece and a useful everyday carry. JT

Thanks for the comment @Gimleteye. Maserin continues to be one of my favorite companies to work with, due to the craftsmanship and history behind their products. Glad you can appreciate great quality.

A 74$ “440” stainless steel blade, tip down only knife? Is it 440a? 440c?...actually it doesn’t matter. This is robbery!

YupNeckThanks for the link. I think it is a very nice looking knife, actually gorgeous. I have to agree with Axeguy below, you can get a lot out of 440C, after all it is just a knife, and not like having/needing/using a top quality axe.

Does this spring open? Would it count as a "Switchblade" in a state that outlaws switchblades? Namely Minnesota?

MASERIN is a joke in recent years, low quality, low grade materials and ever growing in price.
