So lets get a different kind of conversation going. What are your guys's favorite songs to listen to on your audiophile headphones to truly show their wonder. All genres welcome.
FolkinawesomeSong that I am excited to hear when I get my headphones is :
“dead in the water” by noel gallagher

This is the last track recorded live in a studio and just released. It is one of those songs that has bubbled up and gotten stuck in my head after having the album on shuffle the last couple weeks.
FolkinawesomeFinally, a purely no-rant, no-whining post^^
A few songs I use as personal references:
"Just can't wait to be king" (Lion King soundtrack) -> highs, treble texture, voice texture, sound stage
"Silence in the snow" (Trivium) -> drum dynamics, bass texture
"Hells bells" non-remastered (!) (AC/DC) -> sound signature (fun, engaging, analytical...)
"Human after all" (Daft Punk) -> bass impact
"Piano concerto no. 7 for 3 pianos" (W. A. Mozart) -> instrument separation
"This little light of mine" (NY Spiritual Choir) -> spaciousness, precision
I have a few more, but those are the ones that come to mind right now ;)
FolkinawesomeExcited to listen to:
'Kind of Blue' by Miles Davis since apparently treble is slightly reduced on the hd6xx and will hopefully make it less fatiguing to listen to.
As for non-jazz very excited to listen to 'Mr. Blue' by ELO.
FolkinawesomeI have a few FLACs that I really like to listen to on my good headphones, but my favorite is "Africa" by Toto. The song sounds way different through a good DAC and amp and cans than it does on the radio.
chuckolatteAfter 5 seconds of IceJJFish I set all my gear on fire!
I have been cured from my desire to purchase any future audio gear. This song caused me to just set thousands of dollars on of gear on fire, but will save me tens of thousands of dollars in the long run.
Thanks! ;)
Folkinawesome"Now We Are Free" from the Gladiator soundtrack DR 13 in FLAC
