Skipped this one since I already own the ESP-950 (Which I love). What I want to know is if anyone has any info on this. This is on the Koss blog on 11-29-18, but I can't find ANY info anywhere.

BarondlaNot sure. It's more likely that it'll have a dynamic driver, but I'm only guessing. Their current and previous electrostatics all started with the "ESP" prefix (ESP/6 and ESP/9) so these being the A/550 probably means they won't be electrostatics. Since there is no "A" prefix line of Koss headphones (that I could find) I don't know what to expect. I do know I want a pair, and as soon as they are released. I'd be willing to be a guinea pig if Koss is looking for a local fan who loves to evaluate headphones (hint hint, nudge nudge, know what I mean?)

OCBobA could designate their new Audiophile series. Guess we'll have to stay tuned.

OCBobI know this thread is old but that sign is still up at Koss. I live within a mile of their warehouse/store and they've had that up for a long time.

OCBobIndeed, there's been no word on them for so long. I do hope it's a audiophile range coming. Maybe Koss can finally compete with the big boys.
Oh and you should check out their walk in shop sometime. They have some old discontinued products once and a while. Some neat stuff. One of their old dynamic headphones looks like the ESP/950 but used their 60 Ohm drivers.
But if you're ever in the area, I work at the Pet Supplies Plus on Port Washington. If you have any pets, bring em in sometime.
