Yaks are pretty incredible creatures. To survive high in the mountains, where temperatures dip to 40 below, they’ve developed long, coarse hair and a soft down undercoat for extra insulation Read More

Poor fabric
The item was great at first, but started pilling very early on and the fabric shrunk to about a third of the size when washed on delicates cycle with cold water.

Amazing lightweight, soft, and warm sweater
I’ve owned this for a year or more now and it’s still holding up really well. Been through several washes, and it has not produced any static. Colors have held up well and it’s remained soft and warm.

Warm and comfort
Wool products better use dry clean or wash in cold water to prevent shrinking

Good quality and fashionable
This is a favorite of my husband especially in the cooler months in Northern MN. Just make sure that you don't wash it in the washing machine (just like wool) or you'll create a sweater of a much smaller version. Sometimes people forget this .

Very warm even when wet. Needs to be well looked after
Wears very easily under a jacket. Colors faded fast. Shrunk significantly even when properly cared for.

Shrinks and pills like crazy
Everytime I had to wash this, even following proper instructions, this sweater shrunk and shrunk and shrunk. Can't even wear it now. Total waste of money

Comfy, but worrying
I have only worn this a few times so I haven't ran into the issue with washing it, but otherwise it is incredibly comfy. It does pill pretty easily.

Wears easily
This sweater really did look nice when it was brand new, and is fairly warm. The problem is that it wears out quickly. The great thing about wool is that you only wash it when it looks like it needs it, and it still holds together when done right. This sweater looked frazzled in weeks without ever being washed. It just gave up.
