Our third collaboration with The British Belt Company, the Vero belt is made by hand in Rutland, England, using full-grain Italian leather from Tuscany’s renowned Tannery La Perla Azzurra. The vegetable-tanned leather is dyed all the way through for excellent depth of color, and over time will develop a patina that reflects your use Read More
silverspurr59Common slang all over the West Coast U.S. Translates roughly to "this item is of such high quality and craftsmanship, I would expect it to be worn by many successfull entrepreneurs and businessmen."
Received mine with what I believe was one of the first drops for this, June 2017. Have been wearing it nearly every day since then. My daily belts tend to separate after some time which is why I ordered something a bit more heavy duty. When it first arrived it did have a "cheap plasticky feel" as described by another review; it needed to be worn in is all. As I said before this is basically the only belt I wear now aside from formal wear and black. It's worn in nicely in both feel and color (it WILL darken over time which I prefer). It's showing no signs of needing replacement, but when it eventually happens I'll likely order another.
First of all, let me address all the whining about the sizing of this belt. I’m not sure what the problem is; I wear a 36 in most selvedge jeans, so I ordered a 38” inch belt, as suggested by The British Belt Co. on their website. It fits perfectly, I wear it on the 2nd hole (meaning 3 open holes in front of the buckle) which is exactly what I wanted. This is not a “vanity” sized belt, like many others are, you need to honestly know your actual waist size. That being said I love the belt so far; great pull-up on the leather, and seemingly very solid construction. I treated it with some neetsfoot oil and have worn it everyday for the last few weeks. It is starting to develop some very nice color and the beginnings of some nice patina.
darwinI did read the comments, my good man, that’s why I offered a comment of my own and included the mention of “vanity sizing.” If you are using your Levi’s, Polo, Lee, or Docker’s pants size as your waist size then you are fooling yourself and should definitely go up two sizes. If you actually measure your own waist and then use that real number going up one size, as I did, is perfect. Don’t blame the belt for people’s inability to read instructions, and measure their own waist.
This belt was a tremendous value for the money. Very pleased with my purchase, the first online of a belt as it’s an accessory I typically prefer to handle before purchase. Massdrop‘s description proved 100% correct.
Bad Quality Control and Slow Feedback from Massdrop ,
Actually I'm not really want to review this problem here since I ordered many times and many kinds of products but never got any defected one like this before , Starting from I got product around 13th June I found my belt arrived with the stitching coming up so I contact MD support on that day then they replied on next 3 days that they will dispatch a replacement and asked me reconfirm my address after I replied back until now around 3 weeks there is no feedback from Massdrop about product status even i asked them more than 3 times still quiet ,I'm not really sure it's because of Massdrop or The British Belt Co Harness? ,but I 'm waiting for MD feedback until now I don't want it anymore so better let me fully refund and inform me how to return your defected one back.
I have brought 4 of these belts.
One of these belts I brought in May 2019 had obvious stretched marks. Drop did not deny it was an used/returned item but Drop just would not do anything for me. No return, refund or other form of compensation.
Further, it appears that the black belt is indeed defective. The belt loop at the end of the belt is too tight and I can barely put the belt through.
The other three belts do not have this issue.
I've had one of these for about a year. It's pretty comfortable, and the materials seem to be okay quality for the price. The leather gets *far* darker after a few months of use.
The construction, however, is obviously very cheap. The stitching started coming undone within a week.
The belt has stretched around 1.5 inches in the last 4 months of wearing it. I ordered a 34 and it now measures 35.5inches to the center hole so I am using the very last hole now. The belt has also developed a sharp 20 degree bend in the rear.
Not the most heavy duty belt. I have worn it only a few times and it is already warping in the back and losing its shape. To be fair, I am a firefighter and pretty tough on my clothes. Thought it might be the ONE--it aint, but still a good looking DRESS belt-not an everyday belt.
