You can identify a veteran gamer by the look of unbridled misery on their face when a die rolls off the table. With a tray, you won't have to endure the struggle of crawling around on the floor, sifting through pizza crumbs for your prized D20. I also appreciate that this muffles the sound of metal and gemstone dice while protecting fragile play surfaces. I've already used the trays for DnD, Betrayal, Killer Bunnies, Descent, and even Magic. The metal snaps are great for folding out trays for transport in a backpack to game night.

Very good for travel, and well-constructed to boot! It's very similar to dump trays as it appears, but the color and velvet interior are more suited to dice rolling. Can comfortably roll 4-dice without danger of it going over the edge- it could probably take more. Glad I purchased it.

Great product, one minor flaw

The materials are great, the snaps stay snapped and it folds down easily. The size is a bit large for something like a tabletop RPG where you're only rolling a couple dice at a time, but it's the perfect size for wargaming where I roll 20-30 d6 at once. The only reason this doesn't get five stars is because of the embossed velvet design on the bottom. The logo itself is fine, but there is a square perimeter by the walls of the tray where a die might get stuck and cocked, meaning a reroll is necessary. (You can see this clearest in the listing images of the green version.) I'm assuming it's there because of the folding, but if possible they should have extended the raised part of the tray further so it's either touching the walls or close enough to prevent a die from getting stuck in it.

I joined this drop on a whim the first time and like the rolling trays so much I just joined again to get additional colors! I play D&D with a large group, and we're all always looking for good rolling solutions. In the past I've made some out of cheap wooden boxes from craft stores, and while those serve fine, I don't have enough for everyone. I have several sets of MDG's engraved gemstone dice, so I know the quality of their products tends to be top notch. These rolling trays are great; I don't find them too large for my crowded table, and these are perfect for rolling metal or gemstone dice. I also took them with me when I played as a guest in a friend's game out of town, and they are so easy to transport. When flat, I snap the two trays together so the velvet interior has some extra protection during transit.

These trays are great. The rolling surface is soft enough not to mess up the finish on your high end dice, but firm enough that it won't mess with your rolls. They fold down pretty flat, making them great for use when traveling to your friend's house for game night. I ordered a two pack, not sure what I would do with the second one, but its super handy. If you face the rolling surfaces toward each other, you can snap them together so the leather side faces out on both sides, protecting the inner rolling surfaces from damage while traveling. I even use my second one as riser for my laptop to help prevemt overheating on those long game nights.

They are what they say

I've used these for a few years now and they're still holding up. The bends and the buttons could be a bit stronger as they've lost some of their rigidness over the years. But for keeping dice in check, still great
