I got this cable for my JVC FX850s, because the stock cable doesn't have a mic or remote, and this is a well built cable but it had a definite impact on the sound signature. Bass got more boomy and uncontrolled and the highs were tamed, so it almost sounded veiled. It also seems to have higher resistance than the stock cable, because I had to turn the volume up higher. Might not happen with every earphone, and some people might even like the effect, but it's worth considering

thisisjasonHey there, I'm using a JVC FX850 as well, and my cables just died. Did you end up finding a good mmcx cable in the end?
