I tried several replacement cables, for UE900 and Shure SE215: official, unofficial, cheap from china and more expensive from other markets. No one like the MEE. The wire quality double twisted at the beginning and 4 wire from Y splitter up to plug; the microphone (it's small and robust metal box) and "dulcis in fundo" the 90 degree plug gold plated that avoid damages to cable. The audio is crystal clear in every frequence , tested with an AudioGD ampli DAC and a library @96 / 192khz - 24bit at home and ad FiiOE17 connected to a Galaxy Note 3 when I'm out. I'm waiting the new massdrop list to buy another one.

Is this better than the OEM Shure cables? My Shure cable is pooping out after about a year and I'm looking for something sturdier.

Those that bought in past drops ... good fidelity?
Supper happy this is a balanced end. Just would like to hear buyers like the fidelity, and I'm in.
That is if, I do understand correctly... buying the cable without mic has a trrs plug, correct?
Edit: hmm, I see this is available " MMCX High-Fidelity Silver-Plated OFC Stereo Audio ", and this drop is not that; and that is not trrs. So I suspect I'll be skipping.
Still, hoping to hear from a Massdrop rep if the mic-less item is a balanced trrs plug.
