Spacious and detailed sound with the right amp, scales with better gear
For the current price of $25 (Dec 21, 2019), they're a ridiculous steal.
Note, the P2 scales with better gear. I initially listened to them off of an A&K XB10 (the lovable bluetooth hockey puck), and I wasn't impressed. Came back later, fed them with my Monolith THX 788 desktop DAC and *boom* very open-feeling soundstage, excellent separation of details, good tonality, and pleasant bass extension.
The sound signature is decidedly V-shaped, but it's not as offensive as other offerings (especially at the current price point), I think most people will enjoy these with a variety of genres.
The build quality leaves much to be desired in terms of how the shells fit together, and the stock cable is meh, but they are sturdily built, even with rough edges.
jcsloneAgree with you on how the P2 respond to amping. They sound good directly from my iPad, but really come to life when used with my NX4 amp. At $25 these are strong recommend. Just make sure you have another $25 to pick up a good braided cable.
