SpencerLHey Spencer, Sorry to bother you about this....but do you have any info about these keyboards at all? As all of the ordering and communication I've had with Melgeek during the past 11 months has been straight up lies, excuses, etc. I'd rather someone tell me they got stolen, shipped to the wrong people etc. As I've ordered several things from China in the past 2 months and it got to my doorstep faster than if I was receiving a package that was mailed to me from within my same state. (I understand usps is backed up for voting ballots, but that shouldn't effect any of these shipments that use different carriers. I don't want to come off sounding like I'm mad at drop or you guys because that's def not the case. I just wanted to ask someone on your end because we've been getting exact dates dropped on us from Melgeek, updates saying they are in transit to you guys, yet last I heard they are still with Melgeek and those comments they've posted here never have seemed to be truth, especially considering that people had already ordered, Paid, and received Their Mojo60 ember /dawn keyboard directly from the Melgeek website and they ordered theirs not even a solid 4 months ago. (Just seems as if they are selling the one meant for drop on their site, as I specifically remember that this group buy included Gat switches, but the Melgeek website group buy didn't...yet everyone I know who received theirs directly from them all received Gat switches (and many random color switches they didn't choose) Anyways, any update (whether it be good or bad news) would be better than the run around they have been telling us. Thanks for everything you do, and hope we can get at least a little status update if not an update they are on the way..

Hey Everyone, This is a comprehensive update regarding three Melgeek Runs: Mojo60 Keyboard + Bee Carrying Case, 'Plastic' Keycap Set, and Aviator USB Cables. As an overarching discussion of the situation, the bottom line is all three of these runs are extremely late and have lacked consistent communications and updates from the vendor (and by extension Drop). We understand how frustrating it is that you've trusted us with your money and your questions go unanswered and for that we sincerely apologize. Ultimately our internal operations have failed to provide the level of service that we aspire towards and we're reviewing our procedures to ensure that this doesn't happen to this extent again. Moving forward we have a few announcements. 1) All users that participated in any of these runs, will receive a $15 Drop credit added to their account, regardless of whether they've cancelled their order, continued with their order, or cancel their order in the future. These credits will show up in your account on Monday Nov 23rd. 2) As alluded to in the point 1, anyone wishing to cancel their order may do so, just contact Customer Service and they'll look after you. 3) When the Melgeek products arrive at our warehouse, whatever extras (via cancellations) are available will be listed for sale on our site at the same price as the group-buy prices. You can cancel now, get your money back, receive your $15 credit, and THEN re-order the product when it's in-stock and available (keeping in mind you run the slight risk of someone else clicking buy before you). If you're uncertain about the product ever shipping, or uncertain about the quality of the final product, we suggest that you take this option as it removes any doubt about "why do you have my money and I have nothing to show for it?". 4) We're still sorting through the mess of coordinating inbound shipments with Melgeek. Stating the obvious, these products are ready many months after they were expected, and arranging freight shipments, during COVID, during the holiday season, is not straightforward. Shipping these products via air is not economical (we're talking $50+ per unit at present day rates since we have no previously reserved space), and getting space on an ocean liner, which we're currently arranging, is difficult at best. We'll get there, but it's going to take ~6 weeks for it to arrive, slating delivery most likely in January 2021. Once it's booked onto a freight ship, we'll have an estimated arrival date of the ship, which gets us an estimated customs clearance date, which finally gets us an estimated shipping date. End of January 2021 would be a safe bet at this point, with a couple weeks of built-in buffer (i.e. if things go smoothly, mid January, if things don't go smoothly, end of January). Please understand that we've coordinated over fifty thousand group-buys on our platform with over eight thousand vendors. These runs associated with Melgeek rank in the lowest percentile in terms of proper communication and professionalism. The updates that community members have gotten from discord channels are better than what we've received in direct vendor queries. While they may have fantastic products, their operating style is incompatible with our platform. We will not be running Melgeek products on our site in the future. I'll reiterate that this does not in any way excuse us from not communicating these problems to you in the past. Keeping you in the loop is important and has entirely fallen through the cracks. I'll be posting weekly updates from now on, even if it's to say "there's nothing to share with you". Thanks for your time and patience on this. None of us want to be in this situation but we're here now, and we're going to make sure we all get through it. December 4th Update: Cargo is physically on a ship, expected to arrive at our warehouse on Jan 5th. December 11th Update: Cargo is still physically on a ship somewhere in the pacific, expected to dock on 12/29, and expected to arrive at our warehouse on Jan 5th. (We currently have a ship sitting outside of Seattle with a different product, that can't dock because of high port traffic, hopefully this won't be a problem by 12/29.) December 18th Update: No news, just expecting things on track with last week's update. December 30th Update: Still on a ship, but the most recent update of delivery has slipped to 1/15. January 13th Update: Tracking shows that it should arrive at our warehouse on 1/15 January 17th Update: These are at the warehouse. They need to be unpacked, counted, etc. Ideally start shipping end of this week. January 28th Update: These are 96% done.

PobXJust got mine as well, after searching all around my house. FedEx decided to leave my package half way down my driveway in front of a barn 🤦‍♂️. But glad I could find it, and we finally got them 👍
Hi everyone,  Firstly, we want to apologize for not providing timely updates for the MelGeek runs. This is definitely not the ideal experience and we take full responsibility for the lapse in communication. We also apologize for the long delays with these runs. We’ve been following up with the vendor frequently and have a few updates to share regarding the status of these runs: MOJO60 KEYBOARD + BEE CARRYING CASE The Mojo60 keyboard and Bee carrying cases are fully packed and ready to ship from the vendor to our warehouse. We’re currently waiting for the courier to pick them up. Once they arrive at our warehouse, we’ll get them shipped out to you as fast as possible.

‘PLASTIC’ KEYCAP SET As for the Plastic Keycaps, the vendor has reported issues with the spacebar mould, images provided below. We’re awaiting further clarification on what that means as far as a new shipping timeline. We will follow up with the vendor over the next week and expect we’ll have a better estimate to share soon.

AVIATOR USB CABLES We’re still waiting for a vendor update on the USB cables. As with the Plastic Keycaps, we’re continuing to follow up and expect to have more information to share next week. Moving forward, we’ll be updating this thread weekly with the latest updates, so be sure to check back. If you decide you’d prefer to cancel for a full refund, please write into Community Support at drop.com/support.  Thank you so much for your patience.

JaleesaGSo by "updating this thread weekly", did you mean "not weekly"? Melgeek and Drop have either neglected any communication, or outright lied - repeatedly. The delay tactics used are actually in violation of FTC requirements. When will we get A) the truth, and B) what we ACTUALLY paid for (which includes QMK). Right now, I'll settle for either. I'll leave this here. https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/blogs/business-blog/2020/04/93-million-ftc-settlement-suggests-mail-order-rule

I canceled my order. Anyone know of another keyboard similar to this with QMK, Hotswap and BT support?
mnbvcxzMe too. Cancelled because :
  1. Shipment delays
  2. Poor vendor communication
  3. Poor vendor communication
i think Drop needs a better system to hold vendors accountable. How could they change the item description after they’ve been packaged and “shipped”? For all we know they could have shipped us bricks.

BwlrSo is it actually shipped out from melgeek yet? Its been rather disheartening to have to rely on a random Screencap of a discord shitpost to get an update on a product I bought a year ago.

xdoc6Yes this was a straight up lie. They’re managing this really shitty. I don’t think anyone cares about delays we all know they’re part of GBs, but this dog shit communication is pissing a lot of us off.

Hi Everyone, The issues/delays with the Melgeek runs has been escalated to me and I'm now working on it. I've started to dig into the issues and I'll have substantive updates to post over the weekend. Apologies for all this back and forth, and really appreciate your patience on this.

KevinHi Kevin, looking forward to your updates. I think the answers that most of us looking for are:
  1. When can we actually get the keyboards?
  2. Can we trust you in future GBs?
I do not represent all the buyers, but I think after all these delays, hiccup, poor communications etc, any new reasons now will just seems like BS to us, some/most/all of us only concern on when can we get our hands on the keyboard, nothing is better than a solid shipping notification. I urge that drop do really provide updates ASAP, if too many buyers cancel their order AFTER the keyboard shipped out from Melgeek, drop might need another GB to sell off those cancelled order. also, I am not sure why it's so complicated to just arrange shipment from Melgeek to drop, are you having some dispute over shipping cost with Melgeek? (This is just a guess, else I do not know what could be the obstacle for shipping arrangement) Edit: Received official updates email from Drop, clearly layout the problem and difficulty and new expected date. Appreciate the update, and keep it up. Thank you Drop.

QuanlohEdit: just realized you did get the email, so disregard my reply. I missed seeing the bottom of your message. But I figured I'd leave this up for people who are looking for an update (but I did a very rough summary of the email. It was much more informative than what I wrote). I'm just glad I don't feel so crazy anymore for feeling like Melgeek was shady as shit. I don't know if you saw their email they sent out (very well written and informative) but basically since Melgeek wasn't done with the keyboards until much later than expected then the original carrier pick up had to be canceled and now if you want to reschedule or make a new pickup it will cost Drop $50 per keyboard just to ship them so Melgeek basically fucked them on numerous occasions, but they are currently getting a cargo ship to bring the keyboards, the keycaps, and whatever other melgeek group buy there was that people are waiting on (about 6 weeks or sometime in January 2021 before they will arrive.) They apologized, even though this was 100% Melgeeks fault as they even said we were getting more updates (or should I say lies) from them (discord, email, etc) than Drop got from them at all. So they are giving everyone $15 drop credit on their account and you're welcome to cancel your order or keep it. But everyone will be receiving the $15 credit whether you have canceled your order or not. Then they will probably have to put the remaining keyboards up for sale that were left over from all the people that canceled and then they will never sell another Melgeek product ever again as Melgeek has been a nightmare with no communication and just blatant lies.

Very appealing board. I like the USB type C, hot swappable, Bluetooth, and RGB. I know it's not as popular, but do you have any interest in 65% or 75% keyboards? I'd like dedicated arrow keys and a home button with a smaller footprint than 80%. For 2020, I also hope you'll consider double shot PBT for RGB, Bluetooth 5.0, and Ducky-like stands on the back while keeping it hot swappable.
