Designed for three-season use on the trail or in the campground, the Mountainsmith Genesee 4 offers 56 square feet of interior space—roomy enough for you and three buddies. This freestanding tent is easy to set up (instructions are printed right on the stuff sack) and features a pair of vestibules, interior mesh pockets, and a detachable ceiling loft pocket for storing your stuff. Along with no-see-um mesh wall panels for ventilation on warmer days, it has durable materials, taped seams, and a taped fly to keep you dry should a storm pass over. To preserve the life of your tent floor, add the custom-sized footprint.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have the option to add a footprint (+ $25).
Founded in 1979 by legendary outdoorsman Patrick Smith, Mountainsmith started out making extremely durable gear built to withstand the rigors of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. This led to the development of the world’s first fully rigid backcountry ski sled, and later, the iconic lumbar waist pack. Today, the company produces a full line of outdoor products (including trekking poles, tents, and sleeping bags), at the heart of which are there technical backpacks, recognized for their comfort, stability, value, and performance.
