I would say as a massdrop rule; everything sold here should be cheaper than on amazon. This is the same price at the lowest level. The one on amazon may be the previous gen but it needs to be articulated what the difference is between the two.
*Can't
See what at the next drop?
I'm sorry, too. Read the conversation again.
I'm allowed to be childish because I am one.
In your language: Me is cry much hard.
KetelOne Not trying to shill for anyone, but just to save people money and discourage weak products here on Massdrop: the XPOWER blower is cheaper and more powerful than Hurricane products: http://a.co/6j1vGlX
comatoselosYeah I see the 02 can be purchased cheaper elsewhere, but this drop is for either the 02 or the X3 (for an additional $20). Was unable to find the X3 cheaper elsewhere.
Guys, save your money. I've found a budget method that matches the strength of the Hurricane Canless Air System. Sure, it's not free. But, if you're clever you could get it for pennies. All you need to do is go to a fast food place nearest your house. Obtain a straw. Once you have a straw. Practice blowing through it. Not only is it an infinite source of air. But, it's actually stronger and more effective at clearing debris.
This product is way overpriced (period not just here on MD) & has a limited usable lifespan. I implore anyone who is looking at this product to check this out instead, 120v NA version - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16896367002&cm_re=datavac-_-96-367-002-_-Product220v EU version - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6ZP3N68491&cm_re=metro_vac-_-96-367-012-_-Product
The Datavac is a much better alternative, it plugs into the wall so there is no worry of a battery to stop taking charge. It is completely made from metal so no worry of it breaking from a fall. Metrovac is an industrial company so you can be assured all the components in the Datavac are top notch & will last for years. The only thing I find wrong about the Datavac is the name since it does not act as a vacuum, it is strictly a blower.
Anyways I'm not trying to throw hate MD's way but the Hurricane is a bad product with bad ratings to back that up. Also there is a much better alternative to it & I felt compelled to share that info here.
I am fully aware of how MD works, if you read my entire post I even made a point to make clear I was not bashing MD in any way for offering this product. I simply wanted to post a warning for anyone who is considering buying the Hurricane that it is an inferior product (evidenced by a good portion of reviews on sites that it's sold & by peoples experiences posted here) & also that there is a very good alternative to it available.
The Metro Datavac ESD Safe Electric Duster - Model ED-500ESD is $92.01 shipped and sold by Amazon.com, and is a better value for your money in every way. It's ESD safe, so it's $17.98 cheaper than the ESD version of this one. Not to mention it doesn't have an internal non-replaceable battery in it, so it's not going to croak on you in a year or two if you use it often (as you should). It's also a fairly well known and trusted brand for electronics cleaning.
If you're serious about buying this kind of product, do yourself a favor and get the ESD Datavac.
OrCohenNever trust anyone who wants your money. The only reason these Hurricane units are here is because retailers wont sell then haha. Well in Australia anyway.
