Crazy lightweight jacket. It's perfect for a breezy spring or fall day, when you want to pack something 'just in case' it starts to sprinkle a little. (And even though it's not really designed to do this, you CAN stuff the entire jacket into the zip chest pocket and stuff it in a bag easily.)
It's NOT waterproof, just water resistant. A heavy rain will definitely soak through it. But for 'light weather,' it's a great buy.

Really enjoy this jacket. Good down to about 45 degrees with a t -shirt under it. Repels light rain. Comfortable. Stylish. Lightweight. I own two, an orange and a green. I ordered one size larger than normal and can wear a lightweight fleece under if its cooler than 45 degrees. Cant say enough good things about the Ferrosi hoody.

I've had my OR Ferrosi for over a year now. It's a really good jacket. It blocks the wind very well without sacrificing breathability. It sheds mist and light rain pretty well, though the main value is in how fast it tries after getting rained on. The fabric is soft and quiet, with a very nice stretch. I cannot give it five stars though, because of a couple annoyances: it holds too much oder, the back should be an inch or two longer, and it runs a little small.
Overall, really happy with it as an activewear jacket that takes very little space in my bag. Just need to remember to wash it after a sweaty day.

I've been wearing this a lot on the edge seasons, and even a lot during winter. I just wore this in some nasty sleet, and my layers underneath are bone dry. I had a rain shell with me(OR helium), and never felt the need to put it on. This thing really sheds the water off well for only be water resistant.

Be careful with sizing! New version is VERY different sizing from old version. I already owned the 3 year old version of this jacket in an XL, which is too large for me to wear over a base layer, so I use it over fleece or a puffy. Old sleeve length is very long -- I am 35-36" sleeve -- and the XL sleeves are very long without thick layering underneath. I have several other OR jackets in size large that fit great, including the Foray which was offered by Massdrop. The new version of the Ferrosi Hooded Jacket fits VERY SMALL. I am 6' 1", 185 lbs., and the size L fits skin tight. There is no room for anything but a base layer or thin shirt underneath. Sleeve length is too short for me to use the thumb holes comfortably and the body is super slim. I am a 33" waist and there is no extra room in the hips or body. It fits almost like a baselayer. Had I not already owned the older XL version of this jacket, I would return this size L, hoping for the XL to work. As things stand now, I am considering keeping it to be used basically as a windshirt like my Patagonia Houdini, which also fits super slim. Everything else about the jacket is great, but order up a size. Unfortunately, when you buy via internet, based on past fit, and the fit is dramatically changed, all you can do is endure poor fit or ship back. I am hesitant to order another XL, because my current XL is really too large for regular use without heavy layering.

I'm 5'4" and 138 lbs. I ordered a women's large knowing that OR garments can run small. The arms are too long and the body too snug. I really can't order an extra large because that would be too big, especially in the sleeves. Very frustrating.

I love my Ferrosi jacket. It is so well made with great features, looks great , very comfortable and performs really well in the cold wind with just a merino T underneath. This jacket wil be going everywhere with me.

Great jacket but the angled stitching on the sleeves is slightly bothersome when wearing a short sleeve shirt underneath.

One of my most versatile and favorite pieces of gear. Great windbreaker, sheds light moisture, ultra-soft and pliable fabric. Have a pair of the OR pants in same fabric. Love this product
