I've had my eye on this keyboard for a very long time, and I am very tempted to join in. The one thing that scares me is the layout, at first I was intrigued, but now I am a bit cautious.
Are there any reviews out there where people talk about what it feels like to type on this layout? I've seen a few videos and blog posts, but most of them are more concerned with building the keyboard than actually discussing what it is like to transition to this unconventional layout.
RegusIve had a Planck for a while now. The layout visually looks like it will feel very odd, but it only took a matter of days before it felt comfortable, unlike the ergodox for example that took much longer. The theory behind it is very sound, and it is an exceptionally comfortable keyboard to type on. I recently interviewed Haata for KeyChatter and we discussed our "desert island" keyboards and the Planck was my choice. It is just so comfortable and veritile that even with my 30+ other keyboards I am always drawn back to it. You can't beat the price either, highly recommended!
