My order shipped on March 18th, but it looks likes it's coming from overseas, so it will take some time to actually arrive.

UnderTheHillI received my order today. The packaging itself is just the generic pelican case containing the IEMs, cables, and multiple sets of tips. No documentation included.
Off the bat, they sound much better than the Toneking T88K. The T88K sounded flat to me, while these are much more to my liking.
I wanted to compare these with my recently received BGVP DMG (which I have been using for 3 weeks as my daily commuter). For both, I used Comply Isolation T-200 tips with waxguard. I wanted to make sure I was using the same tips for both as tips can make a big difference. After listening to the same three songs on each, I would give the edge to the Crescent.
The DMG are excellent (using gold tips), and are definitely better than the T88K, but to my ears and my type of music, it doesn't match the Crescent. At the same time, the Crescents are 3x the price of the DMG, so is it 3x better than the DMG? Answer to that is absolutely not, which is a testament to how great the DMG are. I don't have the DM6, so can't compare the Crescents to that set.
One thing, the nozzles on the Crescents are huge, the Comply Isolation T-200 tips I have fit the DMG, the T88K, and UE900s without any issues, but it took a great deal of coaxing to get them on!
The shells of the T88K are bigger and heavier than the Crescent, T88K to my ears felt like CIEMs going in, but were more difficult pulling them out. The T88K I also has a hole in the shell for a vent, while the Crescent don't.
Finally, regarding the cable on the Cresecent, it doesn't have an adjustment piece to tighten up the cables closer to your head, which I was surprised as I like a tighter, neater fit of my cables.
Since I only got these about an hour ago, I'll use these as my daily commuters and see how they hold up as so far, every IEM that I have with Knowles drivers have failed on me and either needed to be replaced or returned for refund, which included the T88K that failed in it's third week of usage.

How would you compare these to something like the massdrop plus universals or the custom art fibae 1?

wonder how these stack up against the BVGP DM6.. or aso the new FIIO FA7. currently using the dm6 and love them. but been thinking about FA7 since they actually have all Knowles in them

leiweiyenThe T88 sounded like a bunch of BA drivers. The PMV sounds like 1 dynamic. I don't think more drivers means better sound. Everyone pretty much knows that I think? I had to ask which PMV was the all BA and which was the hybrid. It's usually clear but was not with this set.

I still haven't thrown down on the K10U yet but I think I'm going to add those to my collection after I pay off my MINT CONDITION Schoeps KCY 250/5 cable I just bought used from a friend for $500😎👍🎶🎧🎙️

While I know more drivers doesn’t not mean better sound but damn, 8?! I have not jumped into the world of BA IEMs before this might be a good start? What do you all think? I’ve had experience with the NuForce EDC and RHA 750. But that’s about it.

jjwfrOdd he'd compare them to Andros especially when talking about BA bass. Would make more sense to compare against another hybrid like the Dorado, Polaris, or Solaris.

Heard some discussion about this is a step up from Toneking T88K.
But the discussion mentioned that DM6 is the one to buy.

This is exactly how I feel about my K10U and T88K comparison. Plus the T88K fits the entire ear, punches harder especially when listening to zeds dead. Crescent said to be tuned by music lovers while T88K tuned by earphone repair tech.

It's not just about the driver count both the Andro and K10U are made of metal, and are CNC milled, and sporting very fancy paint jobs and coatings. They also have MUCH more premium accessories and warranties and both sport fancy cables. Add it all up and their pricing at least starts to make more sense.
I'm also going to assume we don't have distortion plots or impedance/phase plots, CDS's, etc for this drop so we're also missing another piece of the puzzle. Looking at that FR chart above, I raised an eyebrow as it just looks... odd for an 8BA IEM. To me, the low-end looks as if it's encroaching on muddy/warm due to that massive hump and due to highs being pulled down by comparison. Also those peaks at 2k and 8k are known points of thin, bright treble that can come off as piercing. I dunno, the more I look at that FR chart the more questions I have compared to some folks "listening impressions" ...
And just a comparison to the Andro and UERM as someone above said these are "smooth" sounding. Nothing about their FR looks smooth to me, especially next to the Andro:
