Can we get actual audiophile TT drops like better Pro-Jects, AT-LP120s, U Turns, etc? Not niche one-off drops that obviously are stock clearances or crap Teacs

DinoJoeRega's are very highly regarded--often on best TT list for their various price ranges. I don't know Linn well enough to comment on them.

What is with the comments saying they want 1200? It looks like when I try and check out it costs 299 like advertised.

MarvinMerlinIf you want the 'wood' one, it is + $900. For that, it is not much difference from retail at MusicDirect. which offers $1299.

I can’t believe they missed the chance to make it out of Norwegian Wood.

Wow! $1200 for a belt-drive turntable. What a bargain!

Oh man, we absolutely should start getting cart drops. Nagaoka or Grado would suit me fine.

TMBackstromThe vast majority of modern audiophile turntables are belt drive. Check out VPI, Rega and many others.
In fact there is, if anything, a bias against direct drive turntables by many in the audiophile reviewing class.

Nice turntable that has very solid build, nice starter needle and arm, and minimalist styling. Highly recommended, even if $299 isn't a huge break in price compared to what you can find this for in the wild.

ElzizoIt's basically the acrylic platter upgrade for free on the Essential III. Not bad at all.

That's correct and it looks like Massdrop has the models mixed up in the Join Drop options. The $1200 unit is the wood player. $300 gets you the blue one. Oof if they mess this up!

stumpieYou're correct! Our apologies. We've since corrected the images to have the correct photos line up with the model names. Thanks for the catch.
