Product Description
A handsome chronograph that doubles down on functionality, the Raymond Weil Tango goes just as well under a cuff as it does under the sea. This quartz-powered timepiece features a stainless steel case, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a tachymeter bezel, which, when used in tandem with the chronograph, can be used to track speed and distance in a pinch Read More

"Me Bad", or is it "My Bad"; is that what the cool kids say these days? Anyway after lots of searching trying to find a comparable watch like this that appeals to me at this somewhat reasonable price- well I could not find one, even on my fav Aussie site "Starbuy" where I have picked up some good Seikos, as well as Drop ; so as they say pulled the trigger! After luckily buying the Ingersoll Columbus just before it sold out I didn't want to keep procrastinating until the last few hours. My wife says addictions ,like alcohol, gambling , sex and now "Watch" addictions can lead to divorce! I think there is a message there somewhere! Although at least I can show something for the dollar invested; well not quite as good as a share portfolio granted ; but one that I enjoy; if a "husband" is allowed that sort of thing. But back to the watch; at this price point a Swiss watch, chrono, 300 metres water resistance, screw down crown, good build quality, a reasonable size(for me anyway) with "Panda" style dial and undertones of retro sports looks; what else is out there from respectable suppliers? And it seems a 2 year warranty, although that would require return shipping from "Oz" to U.S. as Raymond Weil here do not recognise "Drop" as AD. But at least it's not this months mortgage. Happy for now until "postie" rings the doorbell!!

The white dial is a refreshing option in a segment which seems to be dominated by black dials, over 70% of my watches are the black dial option, getting boring on the wrist , so I am probably going to order this watch with the white dial; especially after buying the auto Freelancer recently. If the quality of finish and build is anything to go by, then this watch is excellent value; also because the steel bracelet for the Freelancer comes in at lowest price of around $400 at non AD supplier; I didn't bother with ADs, as it seems cheaper to buy a complete watch for the price!!

JAoneto my unsderstanding Raymond Weil is stating the 8570-ST3-65501 version to be with a silver dial, not a white one. For sure depending on the lights, on some photos the watch seems to have white dial and almost red hands, instead of orange as per RW description.

adaireYou are totally correct. I did look at a lot of online photos and checked specs on RW site and others. It almost acts like a mirror, and is a bit reflective depending on the surroundings, the same for the red/orange highlights. It didn't bother me so I still ordered it. In some ways it made it more interesting. Can't wait to physically get it, although I may just have a look at some local suppliers; the retail here ia somewhere between $750 and $1100 usd. not much discounts here on Swiss product.

I like it. The price may seem high-ish for a quartz watch, but not for mid-end quartz watches with better overall attention to build and materials quality. It's possible these versions of the 300 line are nearing end of model life, but RW's 300 line is still very current and depending on the model, sells in the $500-$800 range. I wouldn't take issue with the case size (43mm just makes it's easier to use and read). As is the case with all watches, if you really like it, size and price are just a details. Here's a link to Amazon's RW 300 offerings for companions: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Raymond+Weil+Tango+300&i=fashion&qid=1583258934&ref=sr_pg_1

I have owned several Raymond Weil timepieces and the build quality and accuracy are excellent especially for the price. I definitely would recommend this brand and the watch is a pretty good. I'm debating on buying one.

I never understood Raymond Weil as a brand, and the attraction to it. Has always been one of the best examples of "over-rated" to my eyes. But for 1/4th of the AD, why not if some people like this one - I don't-? Still not cheap for a quartz chrono, but better than Breitling-like AD prices for nothing like Bretiling in terms of engineering. I find Bs over-engineered actually, but at least you know where your dollar goes when paying a normal quartz watch 1000+ USD.
