ScielientaReally just depends on whether you have more knives with one or the other finish really, or which you think looks nicer on this specific knife.
Stonewash and satin are both nice looking finishes most of the time, though I guess stonewashed finishes may hide scuffs and wear marks better over time.
OmniseedThank you for the answer. I ordered stonewashed due to its advantage to hide scuff and scratches, (as you said) and also it looks better to my eyes.
Can anyone tell me if the “Coyote” version will have the stonewashed blade or the satin? Looks to be stonewashed in the pictures, but just want some confirmation before I buy because if not and it’s satin than I’m probably just gonna pass this time. Thanks in advance.
OK, I’m in. Seems to be a good value and I’ve been a steel snob lately. Looks like it should be a great beater knife. I do really wish it was in D2 though, but that’s the steel snob in me again
Received mine today and it is very nice for a thirty dollar knife. The only weird thing is my package was opened and I am in the US, not like it went through customs. The shipping tape was very obviously cut and then a rubber band was put around the package to keep it shut.
So, did they screw up anybody else's order? I ordered black, and they sent camo. Of course, they can't just fix it by sending me the correct knife. I can either keep the knife I didn't order and get a partial refund, or send it back for a full refund, which would be a waste of the weeks I waited for the knife to ship! Outstanding customer service Drop
RRwatchYou can either keep the knife you got and get a partial refund. I think it's a percentage of the price. It was $10 for this order. Or return it for a full refund. Those were the only two options. I just kept it and took the partial refund. That way, at least I got something for the wait.
Just got finished watching some reviews which all had very positive comments even at full retail pricing. I Believe real steel is Sanrenmu's higher end line and if you are familiar with SRM then you know they make good quality, bang for the buck, value knives as well as do OEM work for some of the big boys. I own some SRM's and one other real steel, a G5 metamorph front flipper, and can say that quality is good. The H6 while hefty, the materials are good enough for the price point, i like the hollow grind, and think it is a good looking blade imo. (The blade is closer to 3.6" not 3.75" from my research). I do wish the special edition was an option with its nice milled/ textured G10 but overall this drop is an pretty good value and the H6 will make a good beater knife to throw in the trucks glovebox.
I'm pretty much a flipper guy, but this knife is really tempting. Solid steel (I'm not a steel snob) and a great price. About the same size as my Kershaw Piston (which is to say its large)... weighs more, but the blade is slightly thicker. I think I'm in on this one. Can always use another knife in the rotation. I hear "Real Steel" and think of that stupid movie though. LOL
This is a great value And alot of knife for the money. Glad to see the deals are still coming. Now do i need another budget blade? I suppose it would make a good gift.
