This is one excellent mechanical watches I've had. Also the most reasonable priced one in my collection. Quality is exceptional, and if you are new to the mechanical watch scene, this is definitely a beginner's keeper you won't be disappointed. The 24-hr sub-dial is rare in this class range; and it may not be the most legible; the lumes are weak to a point almost none existed, but then again, this is not intended to be a tool watch. Design wise, I love this. I chose the white dial with the red minute hand; it's eye catching, and it's a conversation piece among friend gatherings. The original strap it came with is quite decent; I think it deserves a better quality leather strap which I will find it another.
It's extremely light which makes it feel a little cheap but everything is pretty solid upon closer inspection. The crystal screen is probably the weakest element as mine has already developed a small scratch. I'll probably switch this out at some point in the future. Overall it's an interesting looking watch which fits comfortably in the wrist.
I received this watch this morning. I ordered two, the black case wersion and the gold case version. The one I received this morning was the black version. The first thing I noticed was the build quality. It is a really solid well built watch. I set the time midday Now it is 8 pm and it has gained 2 seconds. So far so good. On the black version it is a steel and it appears the black is not coated but mixed into the case. There is a bezzle around the glass that is coated with a kind of pvc or something like thatand this kind of devalues the watch in my own opinion. This crown is also covered with the same coat. It was done to give a two tone effect but I would have liked it all to be in a kind of shiny mat that the case is made of. It has a nice subtle lume in the dark and for those who are used to a 24 hour dial and have good eyesight it is not difficult to tell the time. The watch looks much better when seen and handled in the hand than on photos. Considering the price I paid it is probably the best watch for buck I have ever bought
The Reign Astro is a solidly built, cushion-cased, open-heart automatic that fits surprisingly sleek despite the clunkiness of my description. The gold is more bronze-y to my eye than I anticipated, but not in a bad way. It's distinctive, which I like as I'm just beginning to build my collection. At the Drop price, it's a hands-down buy.
