Very nice little addition to my pocket flashlights. Well worth the 20 odd bucks I paid, and for copper even! Looking forward to a nice patina. Yep, glad I got in on this one. Much nicer than aluminum. I also ordered a couple tritium tubes for the tail end. I'll try to post a picture after I fit and epoxy one in. I'll most likely use a green tube since they are the brightest.

1.5x6mm.. I don't think the slot will accomodate the 2x6 tubes..

I opted for the least expensive shipping so the wait time for the package to arrive to the U.S. was about 6 weeks just to let you know. Daniel @Mixglo is a good communicator. The tubes are nice and bright.

Wonderful AAA light and easily one of my favorites. I'm not partial to twisties but the threads are so smooth on this that operating with one hand is quite easy. Another great flashlight from Reylight!

Great light, one flaw
Let me say that this is a great little light. Nice low moonlight mode, nice bright high mode and good spacing. Great tint on the Nichia for my sample. Buttery smooth threads. And unlike others, I like the fact the copper stays fairly shiny. I like shiny things. My only complaint is that between the buttery smooth threads and the tiny o-ring there isn't nearly enough resistance to turning the head. While this has not resulted in any accidental activations it has lead to the head becoming almost completely unscrewed in my pocket. I don't believe the o-ring actually applies any sealing pressure so water resistance may be minimal as well. Waiting for some replacement o-ring sizes to arrive from China so hopefully its correctable.

Pineapple Light
This is a great light. A while back I picked up the copper model and I’m very happy with it. Whenever they Drop again I’ll pick up another.

It lights things up, most of the time. Meh...
I'm more bothered by the fact it has yet to develop a patina like my other copper flashlights, or like the description says it will. The head is a different color than the body, which wouldn't have been an issue if the light would patina naturally. I guess it will be an ok third option in case the oven light goes out, or if someone I don't care for needs to borrow a light, but I wouldn't trust it for important things. The picture shows the discoloration and what it should look like by now. Oh well.

KrisinpuddingIt has a coating you need to get off. Then it will patina nicely, like your other. I'm not sure how to get it off, but I wrote to one here that has done it. I'm now waiting for answer. Hope it will help.

Very good.
Small and light. The 3 levels of brightness is very useful. Easy to carry everyday due to size and light weight. Feels a little too small in some ways. I like the copper.

The copper is gorgeous if your the type of person who appreciates copper and the patina it will take on. The size is the same as the other Drop branded AAA flashlights but it has more heft than the aluminum. The brightness settings are easy to toggle but I wish it would’ve been a button instead of a twist toggle. The pocket clip is reversible so you can clip it to a hat bill to use as a headlamp if that’s your thing. I think and reasonable person would find this amount of lumens bright enough. Maybe if you were doing security or search and rescue maybe you’d need more. Good

Very nice product
This is a very well made flashlight and the three modes are all very useful. My only complaint is the clear coating they applied to the copper. It probably makes the copper less susceptible to tarnish but that is exactly what I appreciate about copper and brass. This coating was quite difficult to get completely off. Aside from that, I am very satisfied.

GnystromI love patina and therefore Copper, Bronze and Brass. So I wonder what you did to get of the coating? Sure would like this. Have one in Brass that patina nicely and has button, 3 mode.

ThomasAasenThomas, I really struggled to get most of the coating off. I used metal polish on a buffing wheel but it will never get out of every nook and cranny. I suspect there is some sort of liquid remover that would strip everything off but I did not want to take the time to find which worked best. I really wish they would ship these lights without coating buy then people would complain they they would soon tarnish. I find if you like patina, just put the flashlight standing up in a plastic bag with a rag with some household ammonia overnight which will darken raw copper or brass very quickly. That works for me but try at your own risk.

As much a piece of art as a functional tool, it sits comfortably in the hand with a pleasantly hefty weight to it. The colour of the nichia emitter is pleasantly neutral (albeit a warm neutral) and casts a wonderfully soft and floody beam of light. My only complaint is that the soft nature of copper requires careful threading of the head onto the body after battery replacement, to avoid cross-threading, and the o-ring was too large and would be displaced from the channel between head and body if fully tightened, breaking the water-tight seal. The craftsmanship was otherwise excellent. Very happy with this purchase. Hoping for an AA Ti clicky version with tail-stand. ;-)

I wish I had paid attention to how it is activated. The first time I tried it the o-ring ripped. I will avoid twist on in the future. I like the rest of the features
