Quality Design

The capsule is a true K47 style, with a single backplate milled from solid brass. Custom brass clamping rings secure the 3-micron diaphragms, which are tuned to capture a higher level of articulation than heavier materials.

The circuit is a vintage transformeless design, implemented here with a specially selected low-capacitance JFET and imported signal capacitors. The circuit performs no frequency-dependent filtering in order to avoid phase shift.

The mic's heavy brass body and 3-layer metal mesh grille provide long-term durability and protection from EMI/RFI.

To ensure that the Mini K47 provides great sound and reliable performance, every mic is subjected to a minimum 24-hour burn in at Roswell’s Northern California headquarters. To ensure the highest construction standards each microphone is extensively tested for polarity, noise, frequency response and sensitivity before it leaves Roswell’s manufacturing facility.
