Smaller than most sport watches, but just as sleek, the Seiko 5 SNKK Automatic looks good with a suit or a vintage leather jacket. The stainless steel case measures just 38 millimeters, housing a mineral crystal Read More
I bought from Amazon 3 weeks ago, and returned because on the back it mention Made in Malysia.
I dont see the above is Made inJapan, If yes then I will buy,
And I noticed that strap are light quality and loss mean each link had space in between.
I got my drop and 2 out of 3 that I ordered has Arabic looking letters on the day
i already emailed massdrop just waiting for ng for a response before I do a chargeback
Happy to help, sorry my first reply came off a little condescending. I should have said every Seiko I've ever owned has the 2 languages.
These are sharp looking little watches - hope you enjoy yours!
Vintage1982BenzNo worries
And thanks I got these for my brother, father and father in law
I’ll be getting myself one soon but waiting for one with a leather or those rubber like straps to show up here on Massdrop
Based on my experience with Seiko Fifty Fathoms SNZH watch which I bought from MD, I don't think the glass caseback is a good feature. Mine broke (don't remember doing anything bad to the watch) and had to be replaced. The glass is really thin. I ordered a generic glass and the cost was $30 incl. labor. I was told the the replacement cost using the original Seiko glass would be double. Besides, the movement looks ugly (compared to some Swiss watches I looked at). Also, there is the issue of the additional glass-metal contact that has to be properly designed to offer water resistance, vs. the single metal caseback.
I don't know if the movement in this watch is better than the SNZH movement but the one in my FF is not very accurate (-25 secs/day). The manual winding feature would also be great.
To the usual comment board trolls posting links to Joma and Amazon - those are different models. These are the Japanese made versions thus the difference in serial/reference number and the price premium.
If that doesn't matter to you, great, save ten bucks and get the other version. But don't act like Massdrop is trying to pull a fast one.
Vintage1982BenzI don't understand. Then why doesn't it say that in the description?

EDIT: The $20 less expensive ones for sale at Joma are the "K" designation and not the ones available here labeled "Made in Japan" with a "J" designation and Arabic day wheel (those are $10 more expensive at Joma). Wondering what the warranty difference might be as Joma does include a 3-year warranty... for whatever that might be worth.
I feel like I'm obligated to post this here, but here's a purchased modded snkk27 I've had for a week or so. Sapphire crystal and dial/hands from an srp775
