Initial impressions very positive
Very well made, heavy as heck (21 lbs). Plays nice with planar magnetic headphones.
Not broken in yet, so take my sound quality impressions with a grain of salt.
Has 2 headphone jacks but they are not the same. The right jack has a thicker sound (too thick). The left jack is the "reference" jack and I much preferred that one. Impressions below are based on the left jack.
The sound quality is very good, no hum or audible noise floor at normal or even high volumes. However, it does have stereotypical tube amp sound characteristics such as being a bit more rounded and soft compared to solid state amps. I particularly enjoyed it with my Hifiman HE1000 SE's as it was more laid back and had more body and wasn't constantly drawing my attention to the treble detail as I'm used to with these headphones on other amps. Was a nice balanced, laid-back listen.
For the normal MSRP of this amp, it's a very good value. For the price that Drop had it offered at, it's a steal.

Experience the tube magic
There are 5 page written reviews on the web about audio devices, but trying to explain something which is not explain-able only obfuscate the point. I don't know how to explain it, but the sound coming out from the Cayin HA-1AMK2 is just better. I was perfectly happy with my $100 tube amp before this. Cayin tube amp is substantially better than my Douk audio tube amp. It is also better than Topping A90.
When I hear "I'll never love again" by Lady Gaga, her emotion seems more truthful with Cayin tube amp. It makes digital sound more natural and powerful.
One thing to note is that it generates a lot of heat. It will be your friend during the winter time, but in summer, the placement of this tube amp will become more important.
