As much as I know, these are same as the ie 80 only with a mic for Apple devices. For this price, it is a GREAT deal.

megical_bananaI JUST bought a brand new pair of GR07 MKIIs (yes, the old model!) or I'd be all over these. I'm Android, anyway.

frivoflava29I am personaly up to buying the new ie 80s model, seems it has somewhat improved ergonomics, tighter fit and very compelling design.

Zouck90Exactly the same, iirc. I have two sets of IE80s and they're great all-arounders with really great bass (I don't think I've ever heard better on an IEM). At this price I picked up another set.
The only difference is that these already have the microphone built in. Personally, I bought the cable from this phone for one of my ie80s (yes, they're interchangeable).

luckywangWould you be willing to sell your non-mic cable? I am Android and don't intend to use these for calls

BruceLemI mean, I would - but you'd be better off just buying a new one off the Sennheiser website than getting me to send you mine (especially since the one I have left has been used for several years at this point at the gym). You can get either the regular Sennheiser ie8 cable or the IE80, both will work. Just make sure you don't get the "short cable."

luckywangLucky is right. Just buy a replacement directly from Sennheiser. Don't get those aftermarket cables either. They're usually not that durable.

BruceLemsennheiser just sell original cable, you don't need pre owned cables.

Zouck90I personally think so, used to have one 5 years ago, IE80 comparably focus on more midrange but much less dynamic on bass, so I prefer IE8 more since midrange of this IE8 series is not that good anyway(if you really want rock and metal music, just go to future sonic)
