Like to add listened with the AKG 812 and Fostex Th 900 and the HiFiMan H500. No external amp used and the Shozy Alien drove these to very loud levels at least to my ears. Sounds great by itself doesn't seem to need an external amp. Also on HeadFi there's a way to make it shuffle the music which I'm using now, pressing the sound level down with 3 long presses makes it shuffle your songs. I'm loving this player, ran it Side by side playing the same recordings on the A&K 240 still listening to the Alien it just sounds right to my ears.

komomaiUp date sadly my Alien has gone to the graveyard in the sky. Starting making stuttering noises and now I get no audio output. Tried different micro SD cards. Help me Massdrop what course of action do I have as I would like to have it repaired or get another one. The sound quality was excellent almost on par with my A&K 240.

uruma72Have you tried charging it for a couple of hours? I'm not sure sure if it applies to every unit, but mine stutters when it's low on battery power.

komomaiWow, Is Alien that good to compare to AK240 in sound quality and if so, what marks in SQ do you give Alien to Ak240?
