Product Description
To get the most out of your audio, one pair of headphones simply won’t do. Of course, where you listen makes a big impact on how you listen: You wouldn’t listen to open-back headphones on a crowded train; likewise, you wouldn’t use your noise-canceling headphones in the comfort of your room Read More

Great deal and great package
One for the best "bang for the buck" open-back Headphones. Use it when chilling at home One for the Noise cancelling bluetooth headphones. Use it when the surroundings are noisy (construction, unexpected speaker parties, etc)

amazing deal
Great bundle at an unbeatable price. The 6xx is the best sub 220$ headphone for good reasons while the XM3 is a fantastic noise cancelling device. I wonder if drop will make a new bundle now that the XM4 are out

Killer deal on 2 great headphones
The Sony's are my ideal plane headphone. Good noise cancellation and warm relaxing sound. Swipe controls are also really intuitive. The 6XXs are second only to the 58X in terms of price to performance but with this bundle it pushes them over the edge. The classic and legendary 650s at basically a fifth of the price. Can't go wrong.

Since this is a bundle I'll review each headphone separately. HD6XX: A headphone that really needs no introduction. I'll get this out of the way first - they're good. I think they're somewhat overhyped and there's a lot of other headphones that are superior to it for not much more money, but they're always a solid choice for any audiophile. The only real fault of the 6XX is the poor soundstage and imaging, but the overall clarity of the headphone throughout the range at this kind of price makes that a fairly minor concession to make. 5/5 WH-1000XM3: This headphone is fantastic at a few very particular things. It has inarguably top-of-the-line ANC and is extremely comfortable. They have a couple of.. questionable design choices however. The haptic controls are actual dogshit. They require you to swipe along the side of the left earcup, but there are no textured bumps to let you know where to swipe from. Plus, if the swipes aren't perfectly vertical it'll skip songs instead of changing volume, which is absolutely infuriating. Repeatedly changing volume or skipping is also infuriating since you have to swipe for every single input. Simple volume-up volume-down and hold-to-skip buttons on the bottom of the earcup would be far easier and more effective to use. It seriously needs those as an addition. The call microphone is also completely worthless. How a high end headphone with great ANC (which requires good mics) manages to have one of the single worst call mics I've ever experienced is beyond me. It's utterly useless outdoors and sounds very muddy and muffled even indoors. The ambient mode is also useless. With no music playing and ambient mode on, people talking right next to me sound underwater. Ambient mode doesn't do what it's designed to do, full stop. The Samsung Buds do this significantly better. The ANC also cannot be turned off in wireless mode. It has a 'off' setting but that actually keeps the ANC on and pipes in sound from the outside - with its poor implementation of ambient mode. This is just kind of bizarre and ineffective. It also means that if you're sensitive to cabin pressure (like me) you can't turn off the ANC for some relief and run them in wireless mode and have to plug them in wired. The app doesn't let you run high fidelity audio and the EQ at the same time. This is not something I have a logical explanation for, since you can run an EQ software built into Android or iOS with LDAC active just fine. There's just no reason for that to be a restriction. Again, why? The audio quality is decent considering its competitors like the QC35 II. Compared to even entry level audiophile headphones like the ATH-m50x they're pretty bad to be honest. The bass is hilariously boosted to the point the midrange doesn't even exist and the highs get muddied. Even with EQ to try and even things out to only be very bass heavy instead of 'what is midrange?' it's just not impressive. ATH-m50xBT are far better in audio fidelity. 5/5 for the ANC and comfort, 1/5 for literally everything else. Overall 3/5. Overall, the HD6XX are a great headphone I can recommend to anyone that wants something for home listening. The WH-1000XM3 are perfect for someone that needs strong ANC, a comfortable headphone, and isn't sensitive to cabin pressure, doesn't need to take calls, doesn't need ambient mode, doesn't need to turn off the ANC, doesn't need to use EQ in the app, and doesn't really care too much about fidelity. That's just a lot of caveats.

An amazing deal.
I had never really eyed the WH-1000XM3, but I was very much into the HD 6XX. This package was entirely an impulse buy. And I haven't regretted the impulse in the slightest.
