Designed by Jane Hackworth Gruchacz and produced under the Marti Michell name, the Perfect Patchwork Template system makes it easy to accurately cut perfect matching pieces without pinning, “dog ears”, or shadowing through light fabrics. The templates are made from thick acrylic to give you the option of rotary-cutting multiple layers of fabric at once.
Note: On this drop, you will receive a 2-piece template set which includes Storm at Sea Template plus your choice of either Template Set A, B or D (D is an additional +$5). At check-out, you have the option to add on additional templates; 7-piece Set B (+$14), 7-piece Set A (+$14), or 8-piece Set D (+$19).
This drop includes the Storm at Sea Set and one other template set of your choice. Each are made from rotary cutter friendly, ¼-inch thick, clear acrylic with silkscreened markings and laser-cut holes. Also included are seam allowances and a 20-page instruction booklet to help make the process easier. Choices for the 2nd template set are listed below.
If you would like to make 9-inch blocks of this pattern, you will need Template Set A which includes three combinations of Squares, Half-Square Triangles and Quarter-Square Triangles and can be used for many other quilt blocks. You can find a detailed diagram of the pieces here.
To make a 12-inch block of this pattern, you need to use some of the template pieces from Template Set B which is included in your bundle. Set B includes three combinations of Squares, Half-Square Triangles and Quarter-Square Triangles and can be used for many other quilt blocks. You can find a detailed diagram of the pieces here.
If you want to make 6-inch blocks of this pattern, you will need Template Sets B and D. Set D includes 8 clear acrylic shapes that complement Set B and can be used for many other quilt blocks. You can find examples of some blocks you can make with these templates here.
