Named an Everything Audio Network “Product of the Year” in 2015, the TEAC HA-P90SD can be used as a portable music player, amp, DAC, or all three. The solidly built aluminum chassis offers a nice weight in the hand, with thoughtful design elements like stepped panels for a better grip and protrusions that guard the volume knob from accidental bumps. With two gain settings (high and low) and one of the highest power amps available in a DAP (170 mW + 170 mW through the headphone out), the TEAC HA-P90SD has what it takes to drive sensitive IEMs and demanding headphones alike.
Note: This drop is for the red model only.
The TEAC HA-P90SD uses the Burr Brown PCM1795 converter to play audio from your MicroSD card, USB input, or iPhone or Android device (free download of the TEAC HR Audio Player app required). It supports WAV, FLAC, MP3, AAC, DSF, and DFF formats, and the built-in card slot can be loaded with high-resolution files up to 192 kHz/24 bit or DSD at 2.8 MHz or 5.6 MHz. Other features include the Burr Brown OPA1602 SoundPLUS op-amps, dual sample clocks for 44.1 and 48 kHz multiples, discrete electronics, and push-pull circuitry. Finally, the lithium-ion battery provides up to 7 hours of playback between charges.
