It is a good price. I actually ordered one of these from Amazon, black face, matte case with a leather strap for $37. But when I got it, I found the case wasn't really matte, it's fairly polished. I think this drop is the same except the strap. I really wanted something closer to the original MIL-spec, so kept looking and came across the Timex MK1 SST series. End clothing has one for $55 that looked good so I bought it.

It's a keeper for me. The case finish looks like the original parkerized, the crystal is domed like the originals, it's just larger at 40mm than the originals (as is the one in this drop). The face is actually a very dark olive, not black, but comparing them side by side it's a very small difference. In most light it looks black. And it has rivets in the strap holes, always liked that look.
RayFYeah, it may sound weird but i wouldn't go to a bar with Royal Oak on my wrist. Everyone needs a quality quartz watch in collection. Bought one more now.
Just an FYI, don't buy this is you value sleep and might have it just laying on a table or bedside, it is LOUD. Like, hear it ticking 3 meters away when I'm trying to sleep loud. Or on your wrist in a semi-crowded mall loud.
Notice that the watch is the loudest iv'e ever heard. Even when the room is not very quite you could definitely hear the tick. I ended up not using is because it was too annoying.
If you're somewhere loud, or have a bad hearing then this is a great watch with great value.
After lurking on amazon and other shops with reviews on this watch I have some doubts. Many complaints about crown falling off after a while. Need to think about this
