I am facing a wierd problem with my D10. I received mine a while ago, but just got time to set it up. I installed the driver from the Topping site. I plugged it in to my computer and set the sound settings on Windows 10. What I am noticing is that the display on the front shows the setting on the Sound Setting in Windows 10. So, if I set the sound setting on Windows 10 for 24/192, the display will show 192 PCM. It will continue to display 192, even though I am playing 16/44.1. How do you go about displaying the actual sound setting versus the setting on Windows 10? Do you think there is something wrong with this D10?

Green7Mine should be getting in tomorrow and I've done a bit of reading to see what I need to do to get the most out of it. From everything I've read, windows is going to upsample (or downsample) the file to match what you've put in the settings. In order for it to play at the file's actual sample-rate and the topping to read accurately, you would need to enable wasapi as your output in the actual media player (I see foobar referenced most frequently). That, or telling the player to use the ASIO driver that comes with the D10. I hope that's helpful!

OliverDThanks OliverD. Very helpful. My primary reason to get this DAC was to use it with Amazon Music HD, which I am trying out over the next couple of months. Now I know that it would not work with Amazon Music HD, as the Amazon Music HD app does not support wasapi (yet)? Do you know if the signal on the optical/coax out also gets up/down sampled by Windows?

Green7You have to check the box in the win10 sound setup for D10 to allow device to have exclusive control, otherwise it just plays at what you set win10 to. LMK if that helps . It is under speaker properties. Then Advanced Tab. This is where you choose the bit depth and rate . Below that is 2 boxes that you need to check. check the boxes box 1 Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device box 2 Give exclusive mode applications priority. LMK if this works for you

grey9houndSorry for the late response. It did not work. Still shows the Windows10 sound settings on the display although Amazon Music HD app on windows shows a different resolution of the song playing.
