Topping took 4 years to improve its audiophile-grade D30 DAC. In the new D30 Pro, it’s safe to say that time has paid off. Equipped with four CS43198 Cirrus Logic DAC chips, the feature-loaded Pro packs an expansive eight fully balanced channels—with an impressive 132-decibel dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio. Equally as impressive is the Pro’s 0.00009-percent THD + N rating, as well as its SINAD rating of 127 decibels—well below the human hearing threshold. For high-resolution listening, a second-generation, eight-core XMOS XU208 chip supports PCM 32bit, 384kHz decoding and DSD256 native decoding. A great pairing with Topping’s A30 Pro amplifier, the D30 Pro also doubles as a preamp and allows you to simultaneously run cables to two different destinations via a new output selection button.
