An ideal pairing for your smartphone or portable digital audio player, the Topping NX3s headphone amplifier is designed to drive headphones and IEMs with low distortion and noise. It significantly improves upon the power output of its predecessor, the NX3, with an output of 545 mW at 32 ohms, giving it the ability to drive more demanding full-size cans Read More
I bought this to replace my NX1s which was perfect for low impedance headphones but I wanted something to pair with my Zishan DSD and my HD6XX, so I bought the NX3s. Just like the previous reviewer supercitcit I also experienced "the sound is crapy with lots of crackling and background noises"
However I then fully charged the device and tried it again and the problem seemed to disappear, infact the sound and power easily pushed the 300 ohms headphone.
Just received and tried it out for 4-6 hours.
Quality of the package is good and the device itselves seems solid but the sound is crapy with lots of cracklings and background noises (like capacitor charging), whatever headphones and wires I try.
I'm very disappointed and do not recommand this device.
Small, well built, good battery life. Works very well on my HD 660S, great sound. The bass selector has only two positions, but for me this works. Comes with a small rubber pad and bands to attach to a mobile music player without scratching. Also comes with a short stereo cable which is very handy when using a mobile music player.
ShahkhanI did tried it on my Dell laptop and it really didn't made much of a difference. That said, my hd58x sounded good on the laptop with or without the NX3 amp. Hope that helps.
