The original Tom Brown Tracker took the knife world by storm—so much so that it was featured in the movie The Hunted and on the cover of Blade Magazine. This version is the exact same, just smaller. At about half the weight (9.6 ounces) of its larger brother, it’s still a beast in the field and suitable for chopping, batoning, and hammering. The blade is even wide enough for digging. The 4.9-inch blade is made from 1095 steel with coating to resist the elements. The main edge can be used for slicing and chopping, while the secondary edge is good for shaving material and carving. The spine has a toothed back for notching and sawing, too. Composed of linen micarta, the handle offers a secure grip in slippery conditions. Also included is a Kydex sheath for convenient carry.

Tom Brown Jr. is one of America’s most renowned trackers and survivalists. At the age of 7, he learned his skills from the wise Apache elder, Stalking Wolf. He spent the next 10 years in the wilderness with next to nothing, save from the elements around him. After returning, Brown sought to teach what he’d learned to a wider audience. To do so, he started working closely with law enforcement agencies across the U.S. to help track fugitives and missing persons. Eventually he published The Tracker in 1978, which is widely regarded as one of the foremost authorities on survival. Today he runs the Tracker School to help educate people around the world on survival tips and tricks.
