Violectric DHA V226 Headphone Amp/DAC

At first glance, the Violectric DHA V226 Headphone DAC/Amp looks just like the rest of Violectric’s lauded line of V200-series amplifiers. And while it does house some of those same high-end components for clean, powerful headphone amplification, it’s also got a DAC right on board to take a bigger stake in your signal chain. Based on the same conversion components found in the Cirrus CS43131 with an impressive 130 decibels of dynamic rand and an ultra-low -115 decibels of relative total harmonic distortion, the DHA V226 could hold a spot in your setup as just a DAC and impress. But add that to an 18-decibel preamp component, up to an impressive 3,500 milliwatts of max output power, and a whole suite of balanced and unbalanced outputs, and you’ve got a truly full featured desktop box that’ll be music to your headphones.
