I just picked this up on Amazon for $ 192. A coworker has this exact desk and it is reasonably good and very nice for the price. After $25 shipping on Massdrop, I paid $7 more to have it delivered with 2 day shipping from amazon instead of waiting a month and a half.

Atom68I see comments just like this for almost everything on massdrop (normally I look at electronics) I honestly don't see the point or the value of MD anymore

mujjumanWell, the way I look at it is Massdrop doesn't really have great deals. They really excel in providing unique items for purchase. So pretty much all of what I've ordered has been mechanical keyboard related that you can't actually get anywhere else. To me, that's the point of continuing to use this site.
Sort of like kickstarter, but with actual companies and not mediocre startups.

I can comment on sit/stand desks being nice as I'm using one now; but, I would question the assertion of it being suitable for all heights. I'm 6'4" and my desk shows 28.7" at the most comfortable height with my computer chair and 48.5" at my standing height. In other words, if you're over 6 feet tall, I would question that 16 inch max height as I use an almost 20 inch increase myself. I will say that this is a surprisingly cheap sit/stand option.

Neutrino_TauHey! I'm 6'11 and have been wanting a sit/stand desk or something along those lines, but I can't find anything thats not custom built or obnoxiouslly expensive. Have you any ideas?

drjd24I am only 6ft. I have my desk at 33 inches high. This gives me the room I want underneath and allows me to have my chair at its highest setting and lets me lean back to alleviate those pressure spots that can destroy your soul when you sit for hours. I can stand and type and game on my desk at this height. Monitor needed to be on a 6" box. All in all it works for me.
My point is, you can probably figure out a way to make standing work for you, just try cardboard boxes and elevating your desk temporarily to see what you would need to do it right. Or just invest in the sit stand add on desks. You might have to spend more though because of your height. IDK.

Howdy everyone. I am here to flex my ergonomics again. TL;DR This desk is great if you have a dedicated standing desk area. First off, this a heavy desk. It is not light and when you start piling things onto it like monitors and monitor stands it gets even heavier. The problem is not the weight, I think most people could handle it. What I don't like about it is how you are forced to move the desk. The desk has two levers, one on each side, that you have to first squeeze then yank upwards to lift the desk. My boss actually threw her back out lifting this desk because of how UNERGONOMIC it is. You are basically doing a T-pose in order to lift and there is no easy way to lift but with your back. And guess what, you are not supposed to lift with your back. I have this workstation but I have it upright as a dedicated stand station, I do not move it because it can actually cause you to get acid reflux as well. Try lifting something heavy with your arms all the way spread apart, it does not work and it is not fun (don't try this, please. It sucks!) So, if you are looking at buying something like a sit stand desk, get something electronic, that moves up and down with a button press. It is much more ergonomic, it is safer for your body, and it is much more reliable than yanking up. Plus, you are much less likely to throw your back out. https://www.autonomous.ai/ These are a bit more expensive but gets the job done. Stay safe, ya'll, and don't go hurting yourselves.

I'm with enolam, this is still technically cheaper on Amazon if you consider shipping and it arrives two weeks sooner.

This appears to be on Amazon listed for $179.99 with free shipping. It's only $5 more here at this point but it is still something. And it'll be here Monday. I'm also not seeing this listed anywhere with MSRP for $299.99. Do your research folks.
